SOLAR POWERED with WATER TANK ensuring alternative supply Set in the garden of a family home, this newly renovated cottage offers double glazed windows and insulation (adhering to European standards of climate control) & is within a minute's walking distance of the quaint 7th street of Melville, and near to universities/hospitals. We welcome all guests, although the cottage is not suited to late night wanderers as we are a quiet property; suited to professionals. Parking is shared.

The cottage is 1 of 2, tucked away on a professional run business in the heart of Linden & only a 5 min walk away from the huge selection of popular boutique shops, cafe's & restaurants on and around 7th street & 4th avenue. Uber drivers are readily available at all times to transport you to and from the Gautrain station in Rosebank; just 10 minutes away. Our cottage is ideal for singles, couples, business travelers, and even a small family looking for a short or long stay over.

No load shedding and backup water. Welcome to my home in the leafy suburb of Hurlingham. We are central to Sandton CBD (3km) as well as Hyde Park, Rosebank and Bryanston. The Gautrain station is 8 mins away and it takes 12 minutes to the airport . The suite is located on the first floor with a separate entrance and secure undercover parking. Fast internet and lovely garden and pool views. We use solar power so not affected by load shedding. Kitchenette only, no stove/oven.

Private Suite & Garage

A private self-contained lock-up and go guest suite with unrestricted 24/7 access. 2.5 km from Unisa, 10,2 km from Monash University, 12,3 km from University of Johannesburg (UJ) and 16 km from University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). Guests do not have to share any spaces within the home with any members of the household as it is a totally independent unit even though it is situated within the main house. The only shared areas are outside in the garden and at the pool.

Lilac Cottage in Melville

Our cottage, with backup Solar and Water Tanks to ensure our guests stay comfortable, is tucked away under a big sweet gum tree. Guarded by our two friendly Chow Chow dogs the cottage looks out on our pool and has its own outside patio and braai area. Inside the cottage is a cozy studio apartment with a kitchenette, study nook with WiFi, a cupboard and a comfortable double bed. The separate modern bathroom is stocked with fresh towels and soap.
