What a cute little spot- two pristine bedrooms and swans nearby! It was a lovely quiet night of dinner in, with a cute well appointed kitchen - and a super sweet breakfast of fresh fruit and banana bread! 10/10 will be back again!

It was a wonderful way to end the summer with our family. Wonderful private yard with little beach area for our kids to swim. Lots of little fish to catch off the dock to keep the kids entertained and some pretty decent fishing for the adults. Saw the Northern Lights our first night and then woke up to bald eagles flying around. It was great!

Great place, quiet and great view of lake. Place was clean and well stocked and Carl communicated great. Tyler at Tamarac was first class. Highly recommend.

My family and I had such an incredible stay at Jennifer’s lake house. It was the perfect combination of spacious, cozy, and private for us to spend our Christmas week there. The location and wintry weather had us feeling like we were in a snow globe. The house was even decorated for the season, and had more than enough room for the group we had. Makes me excited for the summer months, as I would absolutely book here again!

This was a quiet comfortable space in a beautiful area off the beaten path. Many fun extras and care included. Will definitely stay again when we need some downtime. On our last evening we were greeted by seven deer just outside the patio door. The whole family enjoyed the weekend.

We stayed with family for ice fishing vacation. We had such a good time. Favorite part is all the fish we caught and the easy access to drive onto the lake. Very clean. Would visit again.

Our family had a lovely stay at the cabin. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed the outdoor areas very much. Ate every meal around the big table on the deck.

Eric’s place was perfect for my wife and I to have a wonderful staycation for our anniversary. Beautiful home with everything you could ask for and more. The layout and amenities were great. We enjoyed the board game selection and loved watching movies in the living room on the TV. The kitchen was perfect for making dinner and enjoying to scenery looking out the window. We will definitely be back for another vacation or getaway!

The cabin is absolutely stunning with great views. The only complaint is that the pictures show a queen bed in one of the rooms and it was instead two twin beds. Overall a wonderful place!

Beautiful, cozy cabin on lake. Enjoyed watching the eagle pair throughout the weekend. Even though the weather was not conducive to outdoor activities (cold, rainy and really windy) we were warm and comfy in the cabin and had a great time.

The Deer Lake Apt was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed taking our boat out on the lake. The host was very accommodating and friendly. So nice to find dog friendly places to stay. Our dogs were very happy and content there.

Great communication before, during, and after stay. Helpful recommendations for fishing. The space was as described, perfect for our quick getaway. Close to Grand Rapids with privacy and lots of room to park a boat trailer and the two vehicles we brought with us. We traveled with our dog. Great host!

Time flies by way too fast while in residence at your beautiful home on the lake!!! I will sit and dream of it everyday until we return!!! Thank you very much for making our vacation such a great time!!!

We rented the "Northern Gem" for a weekend in September as we were visiting my wife's brother who lives nearby. The location is extremely remote, which we loved. Lots of land on this property and amazing wilderness and views of the water. The home is the quintessential up-north cabin and it was cozy and charming. Very clean and surprisingly few spiders and bugs inside the cabin (usually there are many this far north). We had everything we needed here for a great weekend. Good fishing on this lake as well. A couple of things to keep in mind though, first the cabin is up on top of a hill and it's a considerable walk down a very steep incline with many steps to get to the lake. We did not mind this, but if you have multiple small children this may get challenging going up and down. Also the interior of the cabin is very nice, but we felt some of the furniture could use an update, namely the couch and the mattresses which are some of the firmest spring mattresses I've seen.

The resort is easy to find. I was greeted on my way in, and given a quick tour of the cabin. The buildings are older, but that's part of the charm of the place. Everything that I needed was there. The bonfire in the outdoor fire pit was an added amenity on a chilly evening. This is an excellent place to stay whether you're fishing, hunting, or simply looking for a quiet place to spend the night.

The cabins had plenty of sleeping space and were well-outfitted--plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, utensils, cooking equipment and staples. The location providing access to 2 lakes is extremely beautiful--saw loons, eagles and even a beaver. It was fun using the kayaks and canoes. The kids were able to play on the small beach but had their best swimming at the beach area across Smith Lake --it was actually more of a shallow water beach area--no true beach except a narrow edge (we aimed our canoe toward a sandy area that was a private beach but just to the left of it was the swimming area/ shallow water beach area where the kids could play). We didn't use the sauna but was nice to have the fire pit area. Our temperatures during the week were cooler than usual--low 70s --but still had a lot of fun. Also did go in to Grand Rapids to the Judy Garland museum and Children's museum which the kids enjoyed and did 2 kids' programs at the Edge of Wilderness Nature Center in Marcell
