Sandford is an excellent host and communicates well. When he didn't have what we had requested he was ready with a suitable substitute and allowed us the choice on whether to switch our reservation criteria. I like being offered solutions, not just "no." And, the accommodation was very nice.

We stayed at Volcano Village Estates on 3/23/2025, our stay was spectacular. We were maybe 6 minutes away from the National Park, and then 25 minutes for a major grocery store. This spot is perfect for us you want to go to the NP at night to watch the lava (if there is any). John was extremely welcoming and attentive to all of our questions and issues. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this for while staying here in volcano.

Really liked it there. Spacious, clean, and a very responsive host. Plus, there was a sweet orange kitty hanging around to love on. (Hope the owner adopts her. I wanted to smuggle her back in my carry on.)

We spend a lot of time in Hawaii and always stay at a resort. This time we opted to try a new vacation spot and we are glad we did! This was a beautiful place. The grounds are breathtaking and the hospitality was wonderful!! We highly recommend that you try your stay here.

Very kind hosts. They were able to accommodate us on very short notice the evening of. Nice and cozy village. Right down the street from HVNP. Would absolutely stay again!

A historical gem close to downtown Hilo. Clean, relaxing, comfortable, and easy communication. Would love to stay here again.

Nice place to stay, very close to the airport. Easy to find and easy check-in and out. Just stayed the night but was wonderful to sleep in a nice bed after a long flight that was nicely done up. One suggestion is to maybe get a area rug for the floor in the living room. Floor quite hard.

We loved our stay here! It was super clean, quaint, and had everything we needed for our short stay. Cody was responsive and proactive with instructions around check in and any additional needs. The area is beautiful and tucked away but still nearby to Hilo. My only feedback is that our room was very bright at night due to the street lights, and the curtains were very sheer, so bring a sleeping mask!

We loved our stay at Cody‘s place. It was a short drive to many attractions we wanted to see, but also had little shops and restaurants right next-door. Loved the little balcony and waking up to the sounds of the frogs and birds. Perfect! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Luka's review: We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Aaron’s cottage. It was peaceful, clean, charming, and felt like a place we could spend an uncomplicated honeymoon. The kitchen had everything we needed, the area was nice and had easy access to cool secret beaches. The manager was often around and happy to help.

Robert and Andrea were lovely! Andrea was on property when we arrived sweeping up some foliage and maintaining the grounds. She welcomed us kindle and had the AC running in our room upon arrival. We had everything we needed for our mini staycation. Thank you, we’ll be back the next time we need an escape from Kona!
