Just a three minute drive from Paihia is this large house with stunning easterly views across the Bay of Islands to Russell, to the north across the Waitangi River to hills and country (and to the Waitangi Treaty Site) and to the south across the lagoon to local forest. Still to be seen rising from the lagoon near our house is the causeway where the early settlers unloaded their ships, hence the name Causeway Road - which may well be one of the oldest roads in New Zealand.

Kereru Lodge - Central Paihia
Nestled in native bush surrounding Paihia, Kereru Lodge is located a just a short walk from the town centre. Close to the intercity bus depot, main wharf, as well as bars and restaurants. Kereru Lodge is the perfect location to base yourself when visiting the bay of islands. We provide fresh clean bedding and towels, fast free WIFI and have a new fresh water filter in the kitchenette. The Cowshed Cottage

Nestled in the grounds of a 9 acre property half-way along a country cul-de-sac the cottage is contained within a converted mid-century milking shed made cosy, comfy and self-contained, characterised by quirky charm and surrounded by gardens and birdsong. Easy access, no check-in required.

Wharau Lodge
Wharau Lodge is a privately owned 2 bedroom home which is available to be used as an idyllic holiday retreat offering panoramic views over the Bay of Islands. If we do not have people staying before or after you we offer flexible check in and check out. We charge a $85 cleaning fee. Also there is an optional $55 charge if you would like us to have the Hot Tub ready to use.

Waitangi Self Contained Studio
Fully self contained, quiet and private yet located close to beach, boat ramp, supermarket and cafes. Newly built and cozy with plenty of outdoor flow. The shower although private it is outside. May not suit everyone. There are bikes and a touring kayak. At high tide there is access to the Waitangi river and plenty enough time to paddle to Haruru falls or Paihia and back.
