Take a verandah seat to watch the morning mist quietly rise. Observe the abundant wildlife who are happy to call Oro home, or be intoxicated by the afternoon ‘golden hour’. Oro, a place of provision, unfolding beauty, rest and refreshment.

The Barn - Farm at Freeburgh on Ovens River

With direct, private access to the Great Valley Trail and the Ovens River, The Barn provides luxurious bespoke accommodation and complimentary mountain bikes for your stay. Located on 10 acres, The Barn is an outbuilding to the family home, along with our farm stay, The Stables. Within 10 minutes to the tourist town of Bright, and in close proximity to skiing and snow boarding at Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, a short 45 minute drive away. Horse stays are also an option, with trail riding close by!

The Apartment @ Timber & Sage

The Apartment @ Timber & Sage is located in the picturesque town of Harrietville. This spacious apartment has stunning views that can be enjoyed while having your morning coffee from the lounge area or a glass of wine on the deck. Located above the Timber & Sage restaurant/bar, it is also linked to the small Café HV Kitchen down the road. Stroll through town and stop for a coffee and a treat! Or fuel up before a hike, swim or cycle. In the winter months enjoy a cosy space to stay before a Ski.

Blue Rock Mountain Retreat Harrietville (5 Bdrm)

The Blue Rock Mountain Retreat is located on a large property, backing directly onto the Ovens River. Recent renovations include a new kitchen, bathrooms and a recently built north facing deck with outdoor couches and dining area. It is opposite the pub and close to the playground and cafes. My place has 5 bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining area, complete with a woodstove, a separate tv/lounge area and plenty of natural light. My place is perfect for couples, families and well behaved dogs.

Burrowes Rest

A unique hut nestled in the heart of the King Valley. Beautiful mountain views, and your own private King River frontage. Only a short drive or ride to the local wineries, cafes and pubs. Burrowes Rest is a private getaway for couples, friends or families that want to slow down and enjoy a carefully curated space. Regional wine and food shared around the fire, fishing by the river and days spent visiting local attractions, such as, Powers Lookout, Paradise Falls and family owned wineries.

Avalon House: The Mine Managers

The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. With a private pet friendly courtyard, it is in the centre of town walking distance to Cafes, Parks, Rivers, Pubs and all Harrietville has to offer.

EAGLE ECO LODGE self contained studio HARRIETVILLE

Eagle Eco Lodge is self contained dwelling within tranquil gardens of Eagles Rest. Composting toilet, repurposed shower, rainwater tank, grey water to green garden, solar panels & extensive use of recycled timber. One large bedroom contains double bed & double base + single bunk. Shower, basin, composting toilet in bathroom & living area has kitchenette, dining nook & lounge chill zone. Bike, hike, kite …. ski, swim or just relax in the historic mountain village of Harrietville.

Alternatively if you seek a more active getaway there are walks to be done, cafes to visit, mountain bike trails to explore, snowfields to conquer.....all on the doorstep of “The Tin Pod”.

The Nest

The Nest is a unique, inviting place to stay right in the heart of beautiful Bright. Tucked in behind the little boutique clothing shop called Chooks, there are cafes and restaurants literally on your doorstep! Explore the many walking tracks along the Ovens River, catch a movie at the little cinema just around the corner, or jump on your bike and ride one of the cycling tracks that surround the town. Enjoy the best of what Bright has to offer without having to get in your car!

Green Gables

Green Gables is a peaceful cottage situated in lush gardens on the banks of the Ovens River in Bright. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is right on our doorstep and we are also directly behind the Bright golf course- so pack your clubs! From Green Gables, it is an easy walk, ride or drive into the township of Bright with its boutique shops and eateries, regular festivals and of course beautiful European style landscape all nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps.
