Lucky Holler is a stylish mountain cabin set on 6.5 wooded acres, designed as a quiet retreat for slowing down and reconnecting with nature. Just over 2 hours from DC, it offers quiet seclusion while remaining close to rivers, trails, and the small mountain towns of Wardensville, Capon Bridge and Lost River. We have thoughtfully designed the space to immerse guests in relaxation. Our cabin reflects the creative spirit of WV and we provide local advice to take full advantage of your time here.

Mountain home: like in the movies, on 50 acres. Includes soaring mountain views, swimming holes, hiking trails, ATV trails, fishing creek, mini white sand beach, hot tub in a cave, huge boulder rustic fire pits, cave, lake, cabanas, all in a heavy forest exclusively for guests. Private: you cannot see another house from the front porch or back decks and it has thick woods all around. At the top of the property are soaring views with 3 miles of visibility. No need to go to the national park.

The cabin is located 20 minutes from a variety of scenic hiking trails that provide opportunities for adventure.

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

The General Store

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This is a newly built (2025) one bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom home which is located on a working sheep and herb farm of 13.5 acres. It’s at the end of a quiet lane. Unwind and enjoy a good book, play board games, watch a DVD or cook in our well stocked kitchen. You may want to take a walk and visit the sheep and chickens or herb garden. A perfect getaway to reconnect and recharge.
