Calm, tranquil, spacious haven

We had a wonderful stay for 8 nights here. This is a true haven in idyllic surroundings. The property is beautifully furnished with local craftwork. The living/diner area is bigger than the photos and the view from the large wall of windows over the voe is commanding. The kitchen is well equipped. The shower is first class and the double bed is very comfortable. Sean is an amazing host … responsive to enquiries, full of local information and recommendations and so welcoming that you will immediately feel at home. Whiteness is well placed for access to all of the mainland and very peaceful. We would love to return and from the visitors book could see that many have.

We had a wonderful stay at Diane’s place. Very quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the honesty bar was a big plus. We visited during the Shetland Folk Festival and loved the walkability of Diane’s place. It is minutes to restaurants and the waterfront.

We found Louis’s cottage to be perfect for our requirements on our short visit back home to the Isles. It was clean, warm comfortable and in a fantastic location- quiet and peaceful with truly lovely views plus easily walkable to the supermarket and on to the main part of the town. We think there was a small error in the directions to the cottage but the correct route is very obvious. The tv could possibly be upgraded but these are very minor issues. No complaints and a really lovely place to spend a few restful days. Thank you Lois

The house is charming and exceeded our expectations. The Art on the walls and individual well considered decor made it homely and interesting and very comfortable. House is warm and such a beautiful view , watching the ladies who swim in the sea each morning at 6.00 am in all weathers was an inspiration. Hope to return. Highly recommend everything about this property and the local advice and detail in making us feel welcome. Ruth was always available to answer questions and give good advice.Shetland has so much to offer

Ingrid's self catering in the heart of Scalloway

This was probably the best Airbnb in which we have ever stayed. Ingrid was the perfect host and had thought of everything we could have wanted for our week's holiday in her lovely home. We were welcomed with biscuits and fresh flowers and a very friendly greeting from Ingrid. The living room has wonderful views over Scalloway harbour. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

Great few days here. Debbie and Dave were great hosts. Wonderful breakfasts and very helpful re places to visit. Lovely peaceful beautiful surroundings. Comfortable beds and good amenities. A wonderful break. Need a car. So many good places to visit in Shetland. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The cottage was perfect for us five, clean, practical and cosy. We really enjoyed being on the croft, and at the time of lambing ! Thank you Bruce, Jean and John for your warm welcome. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

Da Roost - Family Luxury with Ocean Views

Da Roost is a special place to holiday. The house is warm, well appointed and comfortable. The fresh flowers on arrival was a lovely touch. We loved the location, so close to Sumburgh Head (saw some puffins), West Voe beach (we swam there) and Ness of Burgi (lovely walk). Communication around the arrival and departure was clear. We highly recommend Da Roost.

We had such an amazing stay at Jenny & Pete's! The home was so comfortable, with a really great kitchen set up and a fabulous shower (strong pressure and super hot!) and the most beautiful views over the hill side and cove below. Very convenient to Lerwick, right at a bus stop and less than 10 minutes from town. Jenny was also a really great host, flexible with our check in time and dropping off luggage early, and even helping us sort some car trouble at the end of the trip! Highly recommend!

The Nurses House Annexe

Lindsay was very welcoming. She showed me everything with explanations. The accomodation is very clean and equiped. Lindsay even gave me eggs from her chickens in the garden, it was delicious !! The kitchens is very well equiped, with oil, spices etc perfect when you travel without all your stuffs. There is a washing machine. And the view is incredible !! This is fantastic. The bed is very very confortable, it was like cloud. Parking is easy on site and the localisation is perfect. Lindsay is available if you need. I recommend this host and accomodation. Perfect stay, I should have booked more nights.

I enjoyed a fantastic stay at Miranda & Callum’s lovely property. It was absolutely perfect: cosy, comfortable, well equipped, well located & beautifully presented. I was so impressed at the design & use of space. Miranda & Callum are amazing hosts: super friendly, responsive & helpful - which I really appreciated. It was a perfect set up for my stay - I really felt at home, relaxed & happy. I will definitely return & can highly recommend!

The photos really don't do the house justice, beautiful and cosy. Very spacious and well equipped. Lots of games to keep kids entertained and peaceful spaces for the grown ups. Cooking was delightful in the lovely kitchen, nice hot showers and dreamy beds. Fire place and gorgeous views added to the ambience. Definitely recommended and will revisit ASAP!!!

we stayed for 4 nights in April. The cottage was warm and comfortable after a day out and well equipped for self catering. Not far to Brae which has takeaway and sit in food and good shop. Wethersta is well located for visiting Shetland north of Lerwick
