Casa Puesta del Sol

Enchanting views, exciting activities and five-star accommodations await at Casa Puesta del Sol. With a name that means ‘sunset’ in Spanish, the luxury villa delivers with panoramas of three different bays and the Costa Rican rainforest. A location within the exclusive Los Suenos resort gives guests access to shared amenities like a marina and beach club, while five bedrooms can host the whole family or a group of friends. During your stay, be sure to explore the resort’s beach club, marina, restaurants and bars; you can also play a round on the golf course at extra cost. There are also rewards to staying ‘home’ at the private villa; the house opens to a covered loggia with a dining area from which you can step directly into the infinity pool and hot tub, or cross to a sunny terrace with its own lounge area. (There’s even a shallow section of the pool where you can park a lounge chair.) Flip on the villa’s sound system to set the mood, or share vacation photos with friends back at home via Wi-Fi. Incredible views pair with elegant furnishings to create an unforgettable ambience in this hillside Costa Rica rental home. The center of the house is a two-story atrium with a sweeping staircase, wrought-iron railings and a classic black and white tile floor. The space opens to generous rooms with large windows, from the comfortable living room to a formal dining room with a painted ceiling motif and European-style built-in china cabinet. The fully equipped kitchen features a breakfast bar set on an angle, so cooks working at the island have a view of the water. Each of the five bedrooms at Casa Puesta del Sol has an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. There are two bedrooms with king beds (one of which opens to a balcony so you can take full advantage of the warm weather), two bedrooms with two double beds each, and one bedroom with a queen bed. With dark wood furnishings, woven screens, colorful bedding and large windows, the bedroom suites have inviting tropical style. The location of this luxury home in Los Suenos puts you within minutes of several things to do, from golf (a 3-minute drive away) to the beach, Playa Herradura (a 4-minute drive away). If you’d like to see more of the area, spend an afternoon at nearby Playa Jaco or Playa Blanco, or book a fishing expedition—the waters just off the resort are famous for it. You can also take a day trip to the city of San Jose, about 60 miles away. You’ll want to book your flights into Juan Santamaria International Airport, a 60-minute drive from Casa Puesta del Sol. Hidden away amongst the lush jungle greenery of Eco Golf Estate, this Costa Rican vacation villa is perfect for hosting a special, private event like a family reunion, golf trip, corporate retreat, or destination wedding. And, with the shared amenities of the Los Suenos Resort, there’s plenty to keep you and your guests busy. Outside, the covered portion of the terrace acts as a second living room. The space is furnished with couches, lounge chairs, and an alfresco dining set. There are fans overhead to circulate the tropical breeze through the large doors leading inside. The open-concept living room features a cathedral-inspired, groin vault ceiling with an ornate chandelier suspended from its arris. Comfortable couches and eclectic works of art decorate the lounge area. In the kitchen, dark stained wood cabinetry and granite countertops give a warm and inviting vibe. The galley-style kitchen is stocked with high-end appliances, a dishwasher, ice maker, and breakfast bar. At dinner, there’s formal dining for eight, but first, head down to the wine cave to select the perfect pairing for your meal. Casa Tropical is a gated property with twenty-four-hour security. The secluded terrace is a great spot for hosting, with plenty of space for the whole group to gather or break-off to find some privacy. There’s a swimming pool, hot tub, sound system, barbeque, swim-up bar, and alfresco dining for six outside. Over at the Los Suenos Resort, you’ll have access to their beach club, marina, restaurants, bars, and their golf course. Daily housekeeping is included as well. If you’d like to do some off-site exploration, the town of Jaco is just a short drive down the coast. Known for its vibrant nightlife, boutique shops, and beautiful beaches, Jaco is a great place for a day-trip. Just beyond Jaco, the national parks begin.
