This was our second stay at the Riverside Blues House and once again Liza did not disappoint! This is a great location, great view and the home is pristine and beautifully decorated. My son lives nearby and when we have a large group visiting the Riverside Blues House is our home away from home. Can't wait to stay there in the warm weather and take advantage of the Ferry!! My main search was for a pet friendly rental so I could invite friends with a senior golden retriever. And secondly I wanted to be near the ocean. Having lived on Cape Cod for 25 years, I moved back to Connecticut a year ago after the passing of my wife. But the call of the ocean never fades and this rental was steps from East Beach. My stay was in February and the weather wasn't the best, but beach walks are always best when the only footsteps in the sand are your own. The rental was very accommodating with 3 bedrooms, a spacious living area and large, fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of outdoor seating is also included. Melissa was very attentive and always responded quickly when needed. I definitely recommend this rental for a peaceful adult retreat or for a full family vacation. Kids will love it with the big yard and kayaks available. Enjoy, John

Andrew and Kenneth were excellent hosts. Some of the most professional, responsive and attentive I have experienced. The home is cozy, and the space is really well used and appointed. Some of the appliances are a bit quirky -- like the washer/dryer, which isn't very effective; and the stove/oven which the hosts are aware needs some repairs. The location is lovely. Be prepared to listen to the ducks on the lake. They can be loud even during the night. The outdoor shower was the icing on the cake for me. I nearly stayed longer, except I had another opportunity overseas.

Bill’s place provided a wonderful location for our family of seven to spend our Thanksgiving holiday. The house was clean, uncluttered, and comfortable in every way. The kitchen had everything we could hope to find for meal preparation. The two sitting rooms provided delightful spots for reading, conversation or catching up on the television news. The upstairs bathroom was especially room and well-appointed. While it was winter when we visited, we could tell that this house would be a truly marvelous spot during the summer months as it had a great back deck and was truly only a hundred yards or so from a beach on the Long Island Sound. While it may not be the first choice of those who are on a tight budget, we recommend this home highly.

Had a wonderful time over Easter with my family and dog. The view was exquisite and the house very comfortable. Eileen was very responsive and even had hair dryers sent over. The house was very well equipped with lots of kitchen staple goods. Just be aware there is no microwave, but there is a very nice Breville toaster oven. Also, there is a large table outside for a group, but only a small table and counter seating in kitchen inside. We didn't have any issue since the weather was perfect for us to enjoy our Easter dinner outside. Overall, a beautiful home and only minutes from Greenport and wineries.

Laurie s place is very nice, spacious and clean. Plenty of space to eat, hang out and 2 bath. The fenced in yard is great for dogs or kids. We weren't in full summer season so we're not taking advantage of the beach and water options but they offer alot. Allowed for an early check in which was great as we were in town for a memorial service.

Nate and Polly were great hosts. Very happy they don’t use the toxic chemicals of febreze, Gain, Glade, etc throughout their house and linens. Very clean and well supplied. Beautiful spot on the lake. My only thought is it is a bit pricey for the fall/early winter time of year, but I definitely recommend their place.

The house was charming and on the water. We had a lovely time even though the weather was cloudy and cold. There was a helpful blinder with instructions and recommendations. Definitely would return when the weather is warmer.

We had a beautiful stay at the cabin. The views are stunning and the hot tub was glorious. A lovely escape into nature.

This was our second stay here and it was just as nice as the first. Really responsive host and we love sitting outside at night with a drink enjoying the beautiful view. Nice spot where you don't even need to drive anywhere if you want to experience Mystic and even the seaport if you are up for a 20 minute walk. A+ again, thanks so much!

This is the absolute perfect home for a get away. Everything you need and more is provided. The home is gorgeous, well decorated, and extremely clean. It is even better than the pictures. It feels like a real home, with luxury and artistic touches, not a generically decorated place. Location is perfect, close to it all and still very private. Christopher is an excellent host, responsive, helpful, and gives you your privacy. I can't recommend staying here enough.

The cottage was beautiful and the hospitality was just perfect. Will stay again and highly recommend. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and trails.

My adult daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this peaceful cottage! The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and just the right size for the three of us. The house and kitchen had all the essentials and we enjoyed the treats and complimentary food that Gail provided. We relaxed and strolled down to Indian Cove and Barbra Pine Memorial beaches. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend!

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the location was beautiful. We stayed for a few days and celebrated our early family Christmas here. It ended up snowing, which made the surrounding Connecticut forest even more beautiful. We found the cabin cozy and peaceful, with the town just 10 minutes away for anything we’d need. I definitely plan to keep this listing in mind for next time I’m visiting family in Connecticut.

We had to come to the area for a family funeral, so this was a last minute booking, and Nicole was just the best. She got us in quickly, with less than 24 hours' notice. The house is absolutely beautiful, and overlooks the equally beautiful Oxoboxo Lake. Would recommend this house to anyone needing to stay in the area. Thank you Nicole!

Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

Great spot. We weren’t there to take advantage of the little marina and kayaks— though that would have been cool! Had a weekend event in New London and this was very easy, super straightforward and quiet. Thank you, Paul!

I didnt want to leave this little cabin in the woods. It felt rustic but had all the modern amenities you would expect in a home. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the comfy beds, there is nothing I could complain about, even if I tried. Marilyn gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and local current events. We left with fall apples, bellies full of clam chowder, and gigantic smiles!!! We have already started planning our return!

Great lakeside retreat! Perfect for our small family!

Great find! Hidden cottage away from the road, with lots of space to sit indoors and outdoors. Master bedroom spacious but missing blinds, make sure to bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in! Enjoyed our stay!

This little cabin was exactly what we were looking for! We made a last minute decision to get away from “it all” and couldn’t be happier. We kayaked, we fished, we went hiking, danced to records I haven’t heard in years and played lots and lots of board games! The space was clean, cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds (and couch!) were super comfortable and I loved the antiques/decor!! 5 Stars! 10/10! Highly Recommended! Thanks Joe!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. Tucked away in the woods right on the lake, it was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax. The cabin itself was adorable, clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We only spoke to the host (Angela) briefly, but she was so kind and welcoming, and let us know she was available if we needed anything. It truly felt like a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

The cottage was perfect. Rocking chairs by the window for when it was chilly, chairs on the deck, chairs by the pond for when it wasn’t. Terrific recommendations from Tim, particularly the Dog Watch Cafe in Stonington Borough. Our stay was exactly the peaceful respite we needed, we just should have booked three nights!
