This is a cozy yet spacious cottage at the dead end of a short unpaved lane. Quiet, private, with lots of wildlife in the woods above the Greenbrier River and trail. You won’t see or hear the neighbors. I stay in the studio apt. behind the garage on the far side of the property. I absolutely respect your privacy. Only 15 minutes from Historic Lewisburg, one of WV's best tourist destinations which offers restaurants, bars, shops, antiques, and the arts. It is 13 miles to The Greenbrier Resort.

At the Whistlestop Camp on the Greenbrier River, you can be the one that got away. This modest two bedroom, one bath home is in a prime location to facilitate all of West Virginia's outdoor recreational opportunities. From the camp, you can drop a line in the water, swim with the kids, kayak with friends, or read a book in the hammock. It's only minutes from the southern gateway to the New River Gorge and about 40 minutes to Winterplace Ski Resort. Close to everything but away from it all!

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch!
