We LOVED this place! The views from the house are gorgeous, and the house itself is clean and comfortable. The house is well supplied with everything guests might need (plenty of pots and pans, spices, additional towels and linens, laundry soap, etc.), as well as "extras," such as DVDs, games, and wood for the wood stove. We were delighted with the wild turkeys, deer, and beautiful flowers on the property, and we enjoyed seeing and hearing the cows in the distance. The incredible beauty and peacefulness of this home is wonderful therapy for the soul! Dorothy was a responsive and gracious host, and we hope to stay at her place again. This home is a 10/10!

This place is simply amazing! From the moment we stepped inside, we felt like we were right at home. It’s surrounded by nature - a river, mountains, and trails. They even have mountain bikes for us to use at the ranch. The rec room is packed with fun activities to keep the little ones entertained. We had an incredible time! Debbie and Jake were fantastic hosts! Hope to be back soon!

A nice house, very clean and well appointed. The stocked coffee bar was great. A TV in every room, and the bathrooms stocked with needed items.

Karen’s home is an absolute gem. Filled with light, peace, and loving energy — it’s a magical sanctuary. The garden is beyond beautiful, like a hidden portal of nature and serenity. My dogs and I were in awe — they were so happy and calm here. We truly felt at home and are already dreaming of coming back. Thank you, Karen, for everything! Barbara Berezh and my dogs .

Toad Hollow was great for our group of 7 adults and children. We loved playing in the snow, sitting on the front porch, building puzzles on the big dining room table, cooking meals in the well stocked kitchen, taking baths in the clawfoot tub, watching dvd’s, and walking to restaurants in town. Toad Hollow is close to Mt Shasta ski park. The large mud room was great for offloading snow gear. It was nice having a washer and dryer to dry wet snow gear! Jill was very responsive when we accidentally deadbolt locked the keypad door and went out the back (the back door has a door knob lock that can be pulled closed and locked). She came by and unlocked the house while we were at the ski park so we didn’t have to deal with not being able to get in when we came back. We would recommend Toad Hollow for its cozy, like home, atmosphere.

We came for a large family gathering and it was wonderful to have two homes side by side that our families could meet up at, as they all traveled for long distances. The homes were beautiful and lots of space. Thank you so much for making our difficult weekend much easier with your wonderful homes.

Absolutely gorgeous house with front row seats to the lake and phenomenal mountain backdrops. We celebrated three birthday girls turning 50-something years young. Our group was comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Hot tub was the icing on the cake. Would love to return for an extended stay this summer. Absolutely recommend this property and the hospitality of its host!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful spacious home. The ground was covered in snow so it looked like a winter wonderland. I was really impressed with everything the home had - board games, card games, toys and play area for the kids, and a lot of kitchen gadgets.
