The Old Toll House Petite and perfectly formed

Petite but perfectly formed The Old Toll house is a perfect base to explore Dumfries and Galloway. The Old Toll house was built in 1813 the same time as the bridge was built. It was the original Toll house used to collect the payment for people crossing between Newton Stewart and Minnigaff. Set in 4 acres of Doonbank Cottage's woodland garden on the banks of the River Doon , it is a very peaceful and quiet location. One (medium sized) dog allowed.

Tarsuinn, a charming and traditional cottage

Tarsuinn cottage is in an elevated location with spectacular views over the Shiskine valley surrounded by farmland. There is a small fenced garden to the side of the cottage with a bench in a very sunny spot. To the rear there is a farmyard belonging to the neighbouring farm, which is mostly a sheep farm and not too busy. Just a 5 minutes long walk away you can find the Bellevue farm and enjoy a guided tour and lots of animals, even Alpacas.
