Welcome to Indigo Woods Cabin! I We are next to a >1400 acre nature preserve with 5 miles of hiking trails. The Appalachian Trail (McAfee Knob), Smith Mountain Lake, James River, and Carvin Cove reservoir are also close. Feel close to nature while being close to conveniences of shopping and nice restaurants just down the mountain in Salem and Roanoke. One bed/bath with a pull out sofa in living room. Pet friendly! Built in the late fifties, this charming bungalow was rumored to be a gamblers cabin, although it was originally built as a guest cottage for Brookway Hideway, a large property next door. Large picture windows offer panoramic views of the creek boasting its own waterfall. This cottage is perfect for honeymooners, family getaways, or weekends away. The Shepherdess Cottage

"The Shepherdess Cottage" is a sweet place to visit. It has view of Cahas Mountain in Franklin County, Virginia. This cottage has 2 bedrooms and a bath. A very large kitchen open to great room. The house used to be a one room school house in early 1900's. It sits on one acre of land and has a rural surrounding. When we purchased it, it was completely gutted with all new construction as of 2018.
