Magical Modern Cottage with Garden

Find true escape surrounded by nature at this lovely modern cottage. Once featured in Dwell magazine, this home charms with its clever use of space, custom furniture and finishes, unique and tasteful decor, and outdoor patio and garden. Entire private cottage and shared side and backyard with patio seating. We are happy to suggest hikes, restaurants and other activities. We've compiled an extensive list of our favorite spots, both right in the neighborhood and also farther afield. The property is located in Rockridge, and also quite close to Temescal. Both have lots of great shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, and amenities. We are very pleasant 10-15 minute walk from the Rockridge BART station. BART provides easy access to SF (about 20 min) and other parts of the Bay Area. Parking on our street is free and usually plentiful. Street sweeping is on the second and fourth Monday/Tuesday of each month (check signs to be sure). The bedroom of the cottage is located up a short flight of stairs, so it isn't ideal for anyone with compromised mobility. The bathroom shower is fully functional but some particularly large/tall people may find it a little tight.

Mini cottage w/ free parking. This tiny cottage (<200sf) is located in our beautiful backyard. It is close to everything. A 15 min drive to downtown San Francisco and SF airport. A 15 min walk to Westlake shopping center & BART station to San Francisco. The beautiful unit has a private entrance, one bedroom with a queen bed and a private bathroom. We provide Wi-fi, towels, instant coffee, tea, and snack. More amenities for you to use: TV, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer & electric kettle.

Linger over a coffee in the zen, vine-covered courtyard at this secluded cottage nestled in the back of a period property in Berkeley. Crisp white sheets, craftsman furniture, and painted wooden cladding make for a sophisticated yet rustic haven. The main room is cozy with a big skylight, comfortable queen bed, swivel chair, and desk and chair. There is a small kitchenette. Queen bed, large closet, full kitchen, large bathroom, private patio. Free W/D. 2-55" TVs with digital antennae +Roku. Kitchen table doubles as desk. No cleaning fee. Our family plays in shared yard late afternoon with 2 friendly dogs. 7-30 days firm per business license. For two guests, choose "2" when booking.

Bolinas Costal Cottage

A sweet little blue cottage by the sea, our guest house is a stand-alone studio with a shared garden about 200 ft from the main beach in Bolinas. You can put your wetsuit on in the house, pop down to the beach for a surf, and shower off in the outdoor shower in the garden. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen, big screen tv, hi-speed internet, and a wood-burning stove. We live on the property with our young children and dog so are nearby in case you need anything you need during your stay.

Within 1 or 2 miles, you can ride your BIKE or CAR to Stanford, Tesla, GOOG, Meta/FB and Amazon.

Berkeley Hills Maybeck Cottage

Built in 1925, Maybecks' “Cubby” is your private, rustic, 750 sq ft, carriage house located less than a mile from Cal. Homey and basic - the deck is great for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. It's an easy walk down to the gourmet ghetto, Thursday Markets, buses and BART. Carport provided, a car is recommended (hey it's located in the hills.) Not baby proofed, minimal fencing - sorry, no pets, babies or toddlers. Smoke free, no butts about it. Sorry, no loud music, or large gatherings.
