Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Ferienwohnung ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um den Norden zu erkunden.

Die Unterkunft war grossartig! Als wir ankamen ist sofort aufgefallen, dass in Zwischenzeit einiges renoviert wurde, was uns positiv überrascht hat. Man fühlt sich glwich sehr wohl und es hat alles vor Ort, was man benötigt. Die Aussicht und der Hot Pot auf der kleinen Veranda waren ein ein Extra der super Klasse.

Marino is such a great host to help out even we got trapped out of the house one night. Definitely recommend you to stay here with the superb view in the summer and we’d definitely come back next time if we get the chance!

Absolutely wonderful place. Exactly as described. Breathtaking views. Well equiped. Amazing deck from which to watch the fjord and a stunning sunrise. The hot tub was easy to use and a great asset to the property. Lovely walks nearby. Take the binoculars with you and if you spot a whale watching boat do pay attention to them, we saw whales from the island. 10min walk into the village. The Nespresso coffee machine was a lovely surprise (including a lot of capsules) Was hoping for a peaceful relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. Hope to come back again.

The house is comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped and in a stunning location. The hot tub is easy to use and very nice to relax in. We stayed 3 nights and could have happily stayed much longer. Despite the weather (cold with low cloud and rain) we loved the views over the water and the snowy mountains. We drove up to Siglufjordur which is beautiful, walked on the causeway in front of the house and on Dalvik beach which is gorgeous, and did the classic whale watching from Dalvik and saw humpbacks, minke whales and porpoises. Also visited Tjornes peninsula and Husavic. Unfortunately the puffins left early this year so we didn't see any, but the coast is dramatic and we did some good walks. All fantastic. Thanks Ragnar.

Wir haben im Hottube unter den Nordlichtern den Gletscher bestaunt. Wenn nun noch ein Wal gesprungen wäre, wäre es mehr als ein wahrgewordener Traum gewesen. Die Möglichkeit war da, aber leider war es so stürmisch, dass wir keinen hätten sehen können, bei dem Wellengang. Traumhafte Lage!

Super verblijf, volledig gemoderniseerd en alles was netjes en schoon. Fijne jacuzzi waar je lekker in kan zitten in alle rust en privacy. Prachtige locatie met mooi uitzicht.

This may be the most beautiful stay in all of Iceland. We do not have enough positive things to say about the beautiful island of Hrísey. Being from the US, I was a little worried about the ferry/schedule. The host was so responsive and helpful - but truly it was the easiest ferry with the most beautiful views!! The cottage was so private and quiet, with the most gorgeous views! We are in awe of the privilege to stay here. The house was beautiful and cozy. If you’re considering staying - DO IT!

Wij hebben een fijn verblijf gehad in het huis! Het was van alle gemakken voorzien. De keuken was erg compleet.

This was a great place to relax and unwind. The cottage is well designed with lots of space. Our hosts went above and beyond with some very special touches during the holiday season that made us feel very at home, away from home. It was a great stay!

We had a magical couple of days at the hidden cottage. We came up to the north hoping to do some skiing with the kids. We had a beautiful drive up from Reykjavík and drove into a valley creeping into spring. We woke the next morning to a thick blanket of snow! It meant it was tricky to leave the cottage with our vehicle but the kids enjoyed a day in the snow and a bit of a hike up the valley. The cottage was clean, comfy and warm with beautiful views and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was fun. When we had to leave early the next day and were worried about the roads, Lea was extremely helpful. After a bit of snow shovelling we got on our way. The 4x4 we hired managed the main road into town no problem. We enjoyed looking around Siglufjordur on the way in and went via Akuyreyri on the way home where the kids had a fun swim and we managed to get on the slopes in the afternoon. We rented ski equipment on site. Wish we had had a couple more days to explore the towns a bit more!

Haus war sehr klein, aber alles vorhanden - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Highlight war das Trampolin für die Kinder. Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und haben uns Tipps gegeben. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt war der starke Schwefelgeruch des Warmwassers (stärker, als wir das sonst erlebt haben).

Had a great winter retreat at Lea's cabin. It's wonderfully located, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The cabin is equipped with everything you need, from BBQ to hot tub. Bonus points for the Northern Lights we got on NYE!

Beautiful and peaceful cabin in the North. The road isn't paved and the cabin isn't visible until after the gate, so go slowly if you arrive in a standard "tourist car". Amazing nature all around. The cabin is spacious, has a huge garden, and is equipped with everything you could wish for - except perhaps for a shower, but the pool nearby solves that issue. Self check in and out went smoothly. I just had to play a bit with the lock until it turned all the way and opened.

Die Unterkunft ist sowohl von außen als auch innen wirklich schön. Teilweise bleiben Touristen sogar an der Straße stehen und machen Bilder von der Hütte, weil sie so malerisch aussieht. Innen ist die Hütte mit ziemlich allem ausgestattet, was man in einer Ferienunterkunft so benötigt. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden definitiv wieder herkommen.

We loved our stay here! The fjord and the surrounding were absolutely beautiful and we had a nice short walk around the area to explore. The house feels cosy and comfortable but also spacious. The two dressing gowns were a nice touch. We were able to use the kitchen to cook most nights (a hob with 2 rings) and there were enough pots, pans, plates etc. to do this easily enough. It was also a nice place to relax in the evening with a modern TV with a HDMI connection we made use of. The place itself feels peaceful (with lovely views from the windows) but it's not too far to drive to Akureyri which has several supermarkets as well as lovely cafes, shops etc. It's also well located for driving to other places in the north (we used this as a base to go on daytrips to Husavik, Lake Myvatn and Godafoss waterfall). My final main tip would be wait for the hot water in the shower - it will come eventually!

Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich und warm. In der Küche gab es alles was man braucht. Der Ausblick und die Ruhe sind einmalig.

Un’esperienza meravigliosa. Casa in ottima posizione, pulita, accogliente, dotata di tutto il necessario. I proprietari sono stati reattivi e si sono presi cura di noi in modo impeccabile e discreto. Semplicemente fantastico!
