The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. I'm 25 minutes from balloon fiesta park; in another hour you can be on the slopes of Ski Santa Fe; an 18 minute drive to Old Town; and a short walk to numerous trailheads to hiking and biking in the beautiful Sandia Mountains. My dog and I live on premises but have our own private entrance and share no living space with you.

Relax, unwind, and unplug with a beautiful view of the Manzano Mountains in our cozy cabin. Mountainair was known as the “Pinto Bean Capital of the World” in its heyday and our land was used for dry-land bean farming. Remnants of homesteaders can still be found on the property. We now enjoy this beautiful location to raise Scottish Highland Cattle and can’t wait to share it with you! Our cabin will fit 2 adults plus a child comfortably with a queen bed and twin sofa bed.

This custom adobe towers 50 feet over the Pecos River with breathtaking views of the river, dam, and canyon.
