Your host family lives next door and will help you with anything you need during your stay.

Indoor, it's a comfortable apartment with a fully-equipped kitchen, work area, dining room space, and full bathroom with a high-standard rainy shower. Outdoor, the magical garden has a pond with red fishes; two squirrels will welcome you, jumping in the careful forest. A stylish deck offers a pleasant outdoor breakfast experience. Smoking, vaping, e‑cigarettes are allowed in the outdoor space.

Fully-equipped studio apartment in Alameda victorian home. Spacious, with modern amenities (WiFi, Netflix), free coffee and tea, queen-size bed, and big yard, shared with the main house. Separate entrance through the backyard. Young kids live in the upstairs house part-time (see “other notes”) and can be loud until 9:30pm. We’re a dog-friendly space and love hosting pups (maximum of 2, house trained)! Please note that we’re not able to accommodate cats at this time. Lab lives in property.

A large monitor and standing desk makes it easy to work or stream movies using our gigabit Wi-Fi. Easy parking and bus access.

Berkeley Bitty House - a little bit of home

The Berkeley Bitty House is our cozy little detached guesthouse, located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is a few minutes drive to campus and within walking distance to many landmarks. Although itty bitty, it feels luminous and private, with a large skylight and windows that overlook a private deck with hot tub. The view of the bay from the private deck is breathtaking.
