This was a comfortable, peaceful, and stylish place to stay right on Helper's Main St. Super convenient (easy to find and access) for a weekend hiking and exploring the area. Would recommend!

If you’re looking for a great mountain retreat but still have the comforts of home like a kitchen, hot shower and wifi then this is the place! It is off grid, but with the solar and generator plus wifi it feels like it’s not. Also, the outdoor area to spend time in is wonderful! Quiet and peaceful with clean mountain air!

Penney and her husband were wonderful. Zero to complain about and the location is central to many activities we enjoyed. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need and bathroom was fully stocked. We look forward to coming back again. Others have mentioned the train and it didn’t bother us at all. She even accommodated a friend in an RV that travelled with us at the last minute.

We had more than enough space and were very comfortable here for the week. Fair warning though, the town has a few great amenities, but it is a very small town! We arrived on Sunday to find one grocery store, which was closed until Monday (when we had planned to get snacks and water for an early morning hike the next day). Luckily Tamarisk was open for dinner and delicious! And once we got to the grocery store Monday night, it did have everything we needed :) The only other issue (and this was my lack of research) is that it’s a solid hour from arches and canyonlands where we planned to spend most our time. I would definitely stay again as a stop over between goblin valley and Moab though!

We had a great stay. The place is very clean. Easy to load and unload from the nice driveway through the front door. We appreciated a nice place that allowed dogs! Thank you! Wifi is fast, and we had no issues connecting. The Roku was appreciated and worked well. The easy checkout process was also very much appreciated. We would definitely stay again.

With the two fold out couches and queen size bed all five of us were able to stay comfortably there. The TV being wired for Netflix and the surrounding areas were simple and nice. The country store up the road is really quaint and nice. Really is a moment from a different time as we loved the simplicity.

Such a beautiful place for our wedding and family gathering! The grounds are immaculate and the pine trees smelled lovely. The back porch was a favorite hang-out throughout the day. The furnishings and decor was so charming!! The large, well-equipped kitchen - with large frig and freezer - was great! We cooked/grilled all meals there and didn't need (or want) to go out. There was so much for the kids (and grownups) to stay entertained inside and outside! We are from Florida and reserved ARL site-unseen. We were so happy with our choice - we wished we could have stayed longer! We went to many cool places within a 2 hour drive which is also why the location of ARL worked very well. Thank you Merilee and Marty for an unforgettable vacation!! (My daughter said she wants to get married at ARL too one day lol)
