Hungry Mother Island is a unique three bedroom cabin on its own island surrounded by Hungry Mother Creek at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, VA. Located off the Back of the Dragon Trail & bordered by Hungry Mother State Park along with George Washington & Jefferson National Forest. Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

Hideaway Log Cabin

Unique place has a style all its own. It is private, one year old now and hand worked by owner. NO PETS. Small 350+ sq feet. Open floorplan, no separate bedroom. Large front porch with wooden rockers. Kitchen is very small, with most everything except for oven. Has two small ponds with fish in them loaner poles and tackle in closet no license required. It's in the woods there is wildlife, stream and old growth trees to view. Park style charcoal grill in the yard. Hammock, picnic area at ponds.

"Piece of A Full" mountain

This Passport model trailor/ house is for outdoor enthusiast. Our tastefully remodeled 1956 trailor/ house surrounded by 50 of the most beautiful acres in Grayson county. Spectacular southern views of mountains in Allegheny and Ashe county, North Carolina. There is no WiFi but good cell phone signal is available all over property including 4G. You will find plenty of restaurants and bars in Independence, VA and Sparta, NC but we have found that once you arrive you don't want to leave.

Creekside Bungalow (at Dream Rock Silo)

We have been renovating an old 1950's dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn. We built this private bungalow on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. It is close enough to the creek to hear it from your bedroom window. *** We also have 2 other Suites available: Dream Rock Silo, sleeps 2 Rustic Rooster Room, sleeps 6

Morningside Farmhouse and Meadows, No Pet Fees

Beautiful 1900 family farmhouse with lots of breathing room! This amazing no pet fee dog friendly piece of heaven is 14 secluded acres on the eastern edge of our farm, founded in 1760. Beautiful meadows, forest, springs, creek and pond. Pet friendly. We love doggy visitors! Hike over the farm, anf large fenced meadows. Enjoy the fire pit. Have a really large group? Add Sunrise Cottage and Meadows, also on the farm. Or Middleside Farmhouse, likewise on the farm.

The treehouse has a full wrap around porch with jacuzzi tub overlooking a spring branch and fire pit. Enjoy the outdoor shower with a 16” rainfall shower head under the treehouse next to the spring branch. Our gravel road welcomes you to a cozy home in the trees.
