I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

It was a beautiful experience being with at the place . I was very understanding and the place was full of life and positivity. The staff was very cooperative and wonderful.

Nice apartment, old style Cairo. Very nice building with a friendly concierge and real families living in it. Air conditioning in one bedroom. Balconies in every room, a nice washing machine that was very convenient and generally a well equipped apartment. The owner was very reactive to any demands. The last day We were able to leave our suitcases in the entrance for three hours and that was really nice and helpful!

Cairo is a complex and fascinating city. Celine’s apartment is in a once very fashionable area with grand bourgeoisie houses from the early 20C , Embassy’s and institutions like the French Institute (the gardens and buildings of which the apartment overlooks) and The American university etc. But in what seems typical cairo fashion, time and fashions have moved on and it is now a shadow of its former glory but still a vibrant and really interesting and convenient area to be in. There are small shops , market stalls and places to eat very close and yet the apartment is quiet and very peaceful. It is also spacious and well laid out with two sitting rooms and a dining room and the two large double bedrooms. Celine herself was always prompt and helpful to requests for information or help . Coming from Madrid and arriving at the apartment in the middle of the night , I found the entrance and stairway was a bit of a shock , but once inside the apartment it was very reassuringly homely.

A great flat in a great location , close to all services and Cairo amenities. Friendly and polite atmosphere.

Yousif is a very nice, outgoing and generous person. I’m happy to be with him in Cairo. He gave me some introductions about the spots in Cairo and good restaurant nearby! The room is nice in the center part of old town, but quite quiet actually, because there’s always noise in old town. It’s also very easy to go anywhere. I’d like to go back living here with Yousif next time!

I spent in total 5 beautiful days at Zoe’s apartment in the Garden City. She is a very attentive and caring host. Both her and her partner Umar acted very nicely throughout and really helpful. Will miss Tata, the dog - the sweetest creature (loves to bark but I think it the way to socialize, did not bother me at all). I am really sensitive to mattresses in the places I don’t know and here had very comfortable sleep. Garden city is the great neighborhood to stay if you visit Cairo for the first time - convenient to reach and felt super safe even at night.

I have a very good stay in Maie’s apartment when I was in Cairo. The neighborhood is very safe and pretty. You can get everything you need here. Maie is very nice when I check in, she prepared the traditional cookies for me. And the check in time is flexible as well. I would definitely recommend her apartment to all the people come to Cairo. There is only thing that the apartment is facing to the street, so the noise from the street is unavoidable. But with the location and the price of this apartment, it would be acceptable.

Hamza est un hôte très réactif et il a accepté que mon fils dépose sa valise le matin pour qu’il puisse visiter la ville sans contrainte ! La chambre était à 10 mn à pied du centre ifao et près de commerces. C’était un logement très agréable que je recommande

Noura est un hote facile à communiquer et super aidante. le airbnb est bien positionné avec pleins de commerces a proximité. la pression de l'eau est le seul petit défaut

Super accueil. Maged a été tres prévenant. Ils nous a offert plusieurs repas. Il a toujours été là pour nous. C’est une personne vraiment adorable. L appartement est tres bien équipé et propre. Il est situé dans le vieux caire. On recommande tres fortement ce logement. Merci beaucoup Maged

We were very happy with our stay at Marwa’s apartment in Cairo. The place is new, clean, and simply but practically furnished. There are three bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with a single bed, and one with a mattress), as well as 1.5 bathrooms with two toilets and a living room. The location is central, right by Tahrir Square and very close to the metro – a big plus. The area was quiet, and we were able to sleep well. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Marwa is a great host. Communication with her was quick, friendly, and very caring. She even provided us with a list of interesting restaurants and cafés, which was very helpful. Marwa was flexible and accommodating with many arrangements, which made planning much easier for us. We can definitely recommend staying at Marwa’s place!

Hoda proved to be an exceptional host, consistently ensuring open lines of communication and offering invaluable advice when required. Her attentiveness and availability were greatly appreciated. The apartment itself was impeccably maintained, offering both cleanliness and ample space. The kitchen was thoroughly equipped, catering to all culinary needs. The location was particularly advantageous, situated within a short walking distance of various amenities including stores, pharmacies, a local vegetable market, and numerous dining establishments. Notably, it was also in proximity to the renowned Tahrir Square and conveniently positioned for easily accessible taxi services. My family and I found our stay to be thoroughly enjoyable and would highly endorse this accommodation for any traveler visiting Cairo, whether for the first time or on a return visit.

The apartment is in a pretty safe neighborhood, and it’s a short uber ride to Zamalek. Safaa’s communication was just superb, and gave us so many tips about traveling during the New Year’s Eve.

Great place to stay: very central location, very clean, apartment is bigger than I thought based on the pictures, supermarkets around the corner, surprisingly quiet at night for downtown Cairo. Thank you very much!

La posizione è perfetta: centrale, comoda per raggiungere a piedi tantissimi luoghi d’interesse, ristoranti e caffè locali. Nonostante il caos tipico del Cairo, l’appartamento era sorprendentemente tranquillo e ben insonorizzato. Gli interni sono curati, puliti e arredati con gusto moderno. Il letto era comodo, la doccia spaziosa e la connessione Wi-Fi stabile — una rarità nella zona! Il check-in è stato semplice e lo staff è sempre stato disponibile e veloce nel rispondere a ogni richiesta. Un’ottima scelta per chi vuole vivere il Cairo autentico, senza rinunciare al comfort. Lo consiglio assolutamente!
