McKay Creek Bunkhouse

Welcome to McKay Creek Bunkhouse. We are located on McKay Creek 11 miles from the heart of Pendleton, Oregon. This 1900 bunkhouse is situated near the blue mountains and is recognized by the state of Oregon as part of our century farm which is still a working farm. The bunkhouse is surrounded by a couple of acres of grass and wheat fields. Locate just down from the mouth of McKay Reservoir you may see geese, turkeys and deer to name a few wildlife that visit the area. Come and relax.

High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

The property encompasses 5 acres of pasture offering a peaceful stay in a small farm setting. At various times, the farm is home to Cotton the Great Pyrenees, lambs, bees, and multiple unnamed chickens, turkeys & roosters ... the menagerie of animals changes all the time. Wake Up to Wedding Cake! Stellar Cabin can be your private hideaway. Soak in the wood fired hot tub and gaze up at a blanket of stars. Cook a steak on the grill, make dinner in the fun cook shack and sit around and watch evening come. John Day Fossil Beds are close by. Hike Blue Basin, swim in the river or dig for fossils! We are out of range for most cell service, but it's close by. Wifi available at host house if needed! And pets are welcome!

This bunkhouse used to be the original milk barn for this property. It was remodeled into an apartment type living area. Nothing fancy, just clean and comfortable!! You will have all essentials to get you started.....coffee, seasonings, oil, dish soap and ice. You’ll be able to sit outside and enjoy peace and quiet and the beautiful view of our awesome mountains! Weather permitting!!

NEIGH-bors Barndominium

NEIGH-bors is on the top floor of a barn just within the city limits of Pendleton, Oregon. It's 600+ square feet, and includes a nicely stocked kitchen and full bathroom, a queen bed in the bedroom and an air mattress and/or floor mattress in the living room. This "barndo" is an attractive option for those who desire convenience and rustic charm.

Our classic bunkhouse is crafted with locally harvested woods, heated with a wood burning stove and set on our magical 800 acre working ranch. Breath deep while enjoying the birds, deer and elk from the front porch, and say hello to the horses, cows, sheep, chickens and other residents of our ranch.
