The Bird and Bike

This little flat, built into the end of our shed, is simple but quirky. Don't expect all brand spanking new plates and cutlery from Ikea - we've upcycled almost everything (except linen and towels). Set 30 metres from the main house, you'll have privacy to come and go as you please, but we love a chat if you do too! We're on 5 acres. Birdlife is right outside your door (- often including our chickens!). We're ten minutes walk from a beautiful estuary beach and 4km out of Marlo township.

Pelican Point

Uniquely located in the heart of LakeTyres State Forest, this property offers absolute water frontage. It sits on a spit of land jutting into the pristine waters of Lake Tyres, with water views from almost all rooms and a large deck to enjoy beautiful sunset across the Lake. The remote location provides an amazing opportunity to view native birds and animals, and magnificent nighttime skies to enjoy. The 90 mile beach is just 4km away and is easily reached by driving, cycling or bushwalking.

Please note the vehicular ferry is out for maintenance from Nov 10 til Dec 7. During this time we can collect you from the passenger ferry. Wide open spaces, fresh sea air and no crowds. Transport yourself to a 2- storey Hansel and Gretel style cottage in a forest by the water on an island where you can see koalas and wildlife up close in their natural environment. Only 4 hours from Melbourne. We are very sorry pets are not permitted here due to the sensitive nature of the wildlife.
