With uninterrupted views across the river to the beach cliffs, our freshly presented Kiwi bach is perfect for families wanting some rest and relaxation. At the end of a no-through road, this family home offers low-key accommodation for small or large groups. Easy stroll to the river, shops & cafes. Five-minute drive to the Wharf or Blue Waters beaches. Please note that it's not possible to walk to the beach you see from the front deck - there's a lot of scrub and a tidal river in the way!

Historic Places Trust in coastal Maori village

Te Poutapeta is a Historic Places Trust listed building. Up until the 1980s it served as the community Post Office. Our family run it as a B&B or Holiday House. Guests have the entire house at their disposable. We provide continental breakfast. The Post Office is a one minute walk to our long and expansive beach. You’ll love our Poutapeta for its history, spaciousness and comfort. We have attempted to retain its origingal character. It is relaxing and unspoilt. Nau mai, haramai!

Waihau Bay is one of the best fishing destinations in New Zealand, Guests come from all over to catch Tuna and Marlin in the summer season, plus the many other fish species all year round. Clean and comfortable studio cabin with ensuite, come and enjoy the brand new bed. Located opposite the ocean, enjoy drinks on the deck and sleep with the sound of the sea. Just a short stroll to the sandy beach. Plenty of off street parking directly in front of the cabin, heaps of room for a boat.

Nestled in beautiful Onepoto Bay, this newly built bach offers the perfect escape—whether you’re gathering with friends and whānau or enjoying a peaceful solo getaway. Fire up the BBQ and sink into a bean bag on the deck. The beach is only a 1–2 minute stroll and often feels like your own private paradise. With safe swimming for the kids, fantastic fishing, surfing, boating, diving, and even a nearby glowworm walk.

New Shower and toilet just at Chalet door. On Highway 35, expect truck and other vehicles, during the week. Chalet is cosy & private It's warm in winter & cool in summer. Native trees. We live on the land, happy for you ask if you need anything.

Tidal Waters Loglodge Unit, is a private quiet self contained unit, with outstanding coastal and rural views and is part of the amazing Tidal Waters Loglodge. Loisels beach is 10-15 minute walk away, providing fishing, diving, surfing opportunities, as well as beautiful white sand and safe swimming. The unit includes a comfortable king bed, fully functioning kitchen, separate bathroom and laundry facilities.

Tokomaru Beach

Our place is newly built, behind a historic building, only metres from the beautiful Tokomaru Bay Beach. The facilities are all modern, with heat pump/air conditioning, acomodating 4 people with style, comfort and ease. One queen bed is in the lounge as a pull down/retractable and the second in a separate bedroom. Shower and toilet is an ensuite shared by all guests but accessed through the bedroom.

If you are in Ruatoria or the surrounding areas for work or a family holiday then Homestead108 is a great place to base yourself. Our house is beautifully decorated, warm and spacious.
