The wooded island is seven acres and home to two cottages—Sunrise (facing Potawatomi, “the emerald wall” as Grandpa Paul fondly named the view) and Sunset (overlooking the Idlewild Peninsula). The cottages are connected by a well traveled path and a short walk.

Located just minutes from downtown Ellison Bay, this eclectic cottage offers convenience to attractions and dining, while providing a private sanctuary-like experience! Welcome to our Door County Cottage in the heart of historic Sturgeon Bay! Our cozy marina cottage is the best of both worlds. It is located right on the water having its own private dock, yard, and fire pit. It's also close to downtown. Walk to restaurants, shops, parks, and marinas. Our cottage is an older home that has been extensively renovated with modern appliances. Enjoy watching the boat traffic from the second story deck. Two kayaks are provided or bring your own boat.

Our fully inclusive suite is very spacious with its own kitchen, private bath and laundry room, fully renovated in 2025! You will be staying in the historic parlor of our 1869 building, offering all the modern amenities in a historic setting. The decor is contemporary and comfortable, with two Queen sized beds, an additional couch, desk&table to spread out comfortably. Located in downtown, across from Fincantieri Bay Ship, a minute walk away from bars and restaurants.

Winding River Cottages-Evergreen Cottage

The Evergreen Cottage is one of the units at Winding River Cottages on the Menominee. There is one other cottage and one house also on the property. This cottage is directly on the Menominee River, very close to Marinette, WI/ Menominee, MI. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, a full kitchen with full-size stainless steel appliances (stove/oven, refrigerator, over-the-stove microwave), and a living area with a 50" TV, chair, and futon, which can convert into a full-size bed.
