Phong Nha Love Homestay – Simple, Sweet, and Super Welcoming Staying at Phong Nha Love Homestay was like finding a calm pocket right in the middle of adventure country. The place is quiet, clean, and cozy, perfect for resting after an intense day exploring caves and rivers. What stood out most was the genuine warmth of the family running it. They were always around to help—whether it was sorting transport, recommending tours, or just making sure you had what you needed. The vibe here is super relaxed, with just the right mix of privacy and interaction. Rooms were comfortable, with everything you’d want for a good night’s sleep. And the view? Lush green and open skies—perfect for a peaceful morning coffee. It’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want when you're traveling slow and local. Would definitely come back.

Waterfront with Extraordinary Views (Private Room)

Nous avons passé un super séjour. Le logement est très mignon et l’endroit paisible avec une belle vue sur le cour d’eau. Diana nous a réservé excursions et taxi, ce qui facilite l’organisation sur place. Le logement est un peu loin des restaurants mais les vélos à notre disposition ont été très appréciable. Je recommande le dîner à la maison, notamment le bbq. 🤍

Our stay at Son River House was great. It is in a beautiful location on the river with a great view. It is in the quiet part of Phong Nha, but the view makes up for it. Everyone was very accommodating and they have a full restaurant and cafe on site. They will even assist in booking any tours or treks into the national park. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would do so again myself

Très bon séjour. Notre bus est arrivé à 3h et l’hôte est venu nous chercher gratuitement et nous a proposé une chambre gratuite pour passer la nuit. Le petite déjeuner inclu était bon. Il est possible de louer un vélo ou scooter sur place ! Encore merci !!

Das Beach Hotel macht seinem Namen alle Ehre, beim Aufwachen sieht man direkt Palmen und den Strand. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und etwas abgelegen, es ist nicht viel los, aber man ist in ca. einer Stunde in den Höhlen um Phong Nha. Dafür hat uns Tiên auch sein Moped geliehen. Restaurant ist am Haus, wo wir unglaublich leckeres Frühstück bekommen haben.

Wonderful couple host. Very well located hotel only 100 meters from the Tourism center for the boat trip to Phong Nha and Tien Son caves. Close to all amenities. Simple and basic breakfast served to all guests. Highly recommended.

Thank u Hang! We are so thankful for super early check-in at 4 am! We were both very tired from the travel so this was really helpful and highly appreciated. Also thank u for great pancakes, so tasty. The place was very clean and location perfect as well. Very satisfied with Hang's accommodation.

CKC THIEN DUONG HOTEL - Superior Twin River View

The best digital nomad experience I’ve had at an Airbnb. 80+ Mbps Wi-Fi in the room and it was also fast on the 14th floor cafe, which has an amazing 270 degree view overlooking the sea and the city, and was almost completely empty and silent everyday from 9am-4pm. I chose to work in the cafe and not my room because the chairs were more comfortable up there and also because of the view. I came to Dong Hoi knowing I would spend most of my time working and very little of it seeing the sights of the city so for my purposes this place was perfect. There are great street food (and drink) options near by, the city lights up at night, and during the day you can walk along the beach and get some sea food (but there were signs indicating that the water was unsafe to swim in). The staff were SUPER friendly with me, they brought me tea and a fan while I was working in the cafe, and I got my laundry done at the hotel for a reasonable price. The free breakfast also had a lot of tasty options.
