Bring the whole family to this new lake house with lots of room for fun! We are excited to share the lake, stunning sunsets, and wildlife with you. We understand the importance of getting away to recharge and make memories that will last a lifetime. We hope to provide a space for all ages. With direct lake access, lawn games, fire pit, Wi-Fi, gaming platforms, local golf courses and hiking trails, we have a little bit of everything. Escape the city to relax and reconnect with family and friends.

Relax in our remote country cozy lodge complete with creaky floors and old hunting cabin feel with acres of outdoors to stroll past the ponds, trees and farm fields with wildlife galore. NO WIFI. If you are looking for luxury this is not for you. Close to the Horicon Marsh for birding and sight-seeing, Horicon ledge for hiking, Lake Winnebago for boating and fishing and a short drive to AirVenture in Oshkosh. Located on the city side of the lake in Beaver Dam, just one mile from downtown, you'll have access to breweries, dining, parks, theaters, hiking, community events, boating and a multitude of sporting and competitive events.

Mayville is about an hour away from Milwaukee to the south, Madison to the southwest and Appleton to the north. It is situated next to the Horicon Marsh.

With a comfortable and quiet interment, this is the perfect spot to fish, enjoy the lake and wildlife, socialize around a campfire, finally read that book by the lake while the sun is setting, creating lifetime of memories. This is what The Shack Cottage can provide for you. Not suitable for parties or loud gatherings.
