Hi, first of all these are cob houses all made by clay in the traditional stone masonery methods of ancient mediterranean. We're leading a self sustainable life 'as much as we can' so our electricity is coming from solar energy panels which are enough to run a small fridge, laptops, lights and phone charges. Wood fire water heater in the bathroom. We wanted to be far from the crowd so we re a bit not so easy to get at. So its best if you have a 4x4 or u can walk a path uphill for 15 minutes.

Antonio Caves are a typical example of Santorinian architecture. Constructed in 1901, it was initially used as cave house wine preparation cellar and a bakery built right into the volcanic rock. Our luxury suites used to be an 18th century traditional Santorinian captain´s house, which was constructed in Fira, on the very edge of the Caldera cliffs. Built out of local stone and featuring spacious underground rooms, it stood there, untouched by several volcanic eruptions and earthquakes which destroyed most of the island over time.
