Cottage by the Lake

Set on 50 acres of farmland, this unique property boasts 2 large lakes with row boats - kayaks and beautiful gardens, abundance of wildlife and a serene and peaceful ambience. Your hosts, Ann & Kevin live in the main house, about 100 metres from the lake-side cottage and are available if needed, or can be very discreet. You have free access to all of the property, with lovely walks and farm animals to interact with. The property is 5 min from Hanging Rock and 15 mins from Kyneton, and Woodend.

Set on 5 acres of mainly native bushland, our cottage is a real retreat from the urban rat race. The cottage is well equipped with everything to make your stay enjoyable. We have central hydronic heating but the 2 large open fireplaces are a real feature of the cottage. We are regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras and other native wildlife. Fur kids are entirely welcome and we have a secure area with a large kennel if you want to leave them while you explore the delights of Daylesford.

Wariin Cottage means wombat in Dja Dja Wurrung language. The owners of the cottage have an affinity with wombats and a respect for the traditional custodians of the land, so in naming the property they chose to acknowledge both. Wariin is an old miners cottage, circa 1900's, tastefully renovated to make your stay both relaxing and comfortable. It is perfect as a couples retreat or a small family holiday, it is private and pet friendly (small dogs only, larger dogs at owners approval)

Nestled at the end of a quiet street in town, Little Stanley is your own private and tranquil hideaway. Surrounded by a large garden and backing on to bushland, yet right in town, it’s the perfect spot to settle in and recharge. Ideally located within a short walking distance of both Lake Daylesford and the shops and galleries of Vincent Street, Wild Rose Cottage is a charming and convenient base from which to explore the historical goldfields towns of Daylesford and neighbouring Hepburn Springs. A 1910 Federation cottage that has been beautifully extended to a 3rd bedroom and a modern kitchen and bathroom, the property has both a woodburning heater and split-system air conditioning for year-round comfort.

Modern one bedroom self contained house with stunning views of Daylesford. All the amenities for a longer stay including a full equipped kitchen and washing machine. 5min stroll to town. The perfect central location for a relaxing stay. Wifi, Netflix and most of the streaming services. Work from Tara Cottage as your home away from home. Furry family members are welcome too. Yard is not fully fenced but secure dog run is provided.

Tarilta is a one-bedroom cottage with lovely views over the surrounding forest. Situated in the most desirable part of Hepburn Springs and at end of a long private driveway through the lightly forested sloping 1-acre site (with two other small cottages at the front end of the site) that backs onto and has direct access to the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve, the cottage provides a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
