Sandy River Sanctuary and Sauna

Treat yourself to the lower suite of our Sandy River home located just 2 miles from downtown Troutdale, OR. Our suite includes a sauna and an indoor soaking tub (not jetted.) We live above the suite and we have a toddler who is in daycare during the work hours and typically sleeps from 7pm to 7 am. There is a locked, sound absorbing accordian door. Yet, you may still be able to hear us from time to time. We are located on a scenic hwy minutes away from Edgefield and the Columbia River Gorge.

Unique Underground Speakeasy with hot tub

Escape the city in this unique underground stay. Located just outside the city and a quick drive to Mt. Hood. You are sure to leave relaxed and recharged after being surrounded by nature. Soak in your own private hot tub overlooking a forested ravine. The underground space is climate controlled equipped with AC/heat. Connect with nature while you enjoy the massive covered patio with a bbq and games. Ask the owners to hangout with the friendliest Pygmy goats and take photos to cherish the memory.

The Story House

Between the lights of Portland and the slopes of Mt. Hood stands a whimsical woods of giant firs, feathery cedars and old mossy maples. Midst a maze of paths and ferns is a cozy cabin full of delightful art. Browse the uncommon birdhouses and their stories. Just steps outside the French doors is a lighted path to the bathhouse (the only bathroom) with toilet, shower, clawfoot tub and washer/dryer. Walk the paths, soak in the hot tub and end your day in the peace and quiet of a private cabin.

Kaiser hospital , Clackmas TC and Happy Valley TC are mins drive away. 15 mins to PDX, 25 mins Portland downtown and 50 mins to Mt Hood Gorge. Very quite and you can wake up to bird chirping in am. Evergreens provide nice soothing color year round. Patio and deck with dinning table give you chance to enjoy outdoor and sunset if weather permits. Full kitchen. Up to 1gb super fastinternet. This unique apartment above a garage/shop , detached from the main house. Tucked away into a urban forest. I call it Our Robin's Nest because you look out on to branches of large fir trees. It is very private , yet Starbucks is right next door. Private entry and off street parking. This space has everything you need full kitchen, washer&dryer, queen size bed and fold out couch , plus a Play and Pack for the Littles. Walkable neighborhood , parks market and restaurants within walking distance.

Our large (1,500sq ft) space (private access), has a bedroom, bathroom, living room w/ a fireplace, hot tub, full gym as well as a kitchenette w/ full sized fridge, keurig, microwave, air fryer, toaster oven, single burner, and laundry facility. Smart tvs, hammocks and a rooftop firepit are in the outdoor entertainment area. LGBT & BIPOC friendly. Gym, hot tub and laundry are shared with owners but guests have priority access. Close to Mt Hood Wilderness (45mins) & Downtown Portland (15mins).
