Casa de Lila

The home of the legendary Oaxacan singer Lila Downs. Lila, her husband Paul, and Lila's mother Anita redesigned the home. Nowadays the hosts are experimenting life changes that do not allow them to receive and hang out with the guests as usual, therefore we ask you to be considered, respectful and self service as possible, we are a great maintenance team that will be in a schedule from 9am to 5pm Mon to Sat, to help with any urgent need. El departamento tiene en la planta baja la estancia con sillón, mesa de comedor para dos personas, cocina y baño completo con regadera; escaleras tipo caracol para subir a la planta, donde se encuentra la recamara con cama, closet, aire acondicionado y cortinas blackout, desde ahí se accede a la terraza semi-privada con dos sillas para exterior y sombrilla.

Colinda con una zona protegida por la existencia de especies animales: venados, liebres, coyotes y otros. Su ubicación permite la práctica de senderismo y ciclismo de montaña. Ideal para el descanso, la reflexión, la creatividad y para el reencuentro consigo mismo y con el universo.

Villa Rey—Traditional Hacienda Home Near Oaxaca

Our house is a traditional hacienda-type house. The guest bedrooms have their only entries through the outside patio. The private heated pool awaits for a relaxing swim after a full day exploring ruins or touring the nearby pueblos! Lachigolo is a small and peaceful pueblo, about a 15-minute drive from Oaxaca along the Pan American Highway, and around 5 minutes past El Tule. The location makes it a good base for day trips to places like Hierve al Agua, Teotitlan, and Mitla.

We are part of a Zapotec town with nearby restaurants and easy transportation to Oaxaca city (25 minutes away). We offer tours to craft villages and archaeological sites. For the hiker, there are local mountain trails. And, the town of Tule is 2.5 miles away with its majestic 2,000 year-old cypress tree - a sight to see!
