There are significant Royal Connections with Balmoral Castle, the summer residence of the Royal Family only a short drive away.There are a good number of places to eat, catering for many tastes as well as a well stocked supermarket. Outdoor activities include many walks and Biking trails with two bike hire sources in the village and the Cairngorms are not too far away.

Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.

Antlers Cottage, Glenmuick Estate

Antlers Cottage is a cosy cottage in the heart of the Glenmuick estate. It provides a convenient and homely base from which to explore Royal Deeside. The cottage has two double/twin bedrooms with a Bathroom, Kitchen, Sitting Room and Dining Room. The Sitting Room has a welcoming open fire, WiFi and a Digital TV with DVD player. Tomidhu Steading in Crathie is a converted farm building situated in the Cairngorm National Park between Braemar and Ballater. The spacious self-catering accommodation is all on one level and has various sized rooms to cater for all. Many of the buildings original features have been retained and the rooms have a modern finish. Behind Tomidhu is a beautiful birch forest which leads to Crathie Kirk.
