Fire pit + Grill + Very effective Heat(tested to 10 degrees) + Small Kitchen + more. The Yurt of the Dunes offers a different experience and is only about 4 miles by vehicle from The Great Sand Dunes National Park. It is about 2 miles from Zapata Falls entrance. The yurt is surrounded by mountains and the valley sits below. The sky is mesmerizing, it is a certified dark sky area. There are many amenities. Sleeps 6. Cabin is completely off grid, w/solar system, well, and propane cooking and heating appliances. Washer/dryer for use with generator. Mountain Home Reservoir for fishing 5 min, 30 min from Great Sand Dunes National Park. 75 min to Red River, NM ski resort and Red River Brewery, 10 minutes to Fort Garland. Expansive Sangre de Cristo views from the front porch. Plenty of wildlife including mule deer, elk, and more.
