~ the hunting huts~ a fresh take on the kiwi bach

The quintessential kiwi bach, simple and functional, set in complete privacy within our farm on a stunning site high above all else. Originally hunting huts, this unique holiday home is actually four separate buildings that are linked by a large outdoor deck. We replaced roofing, renewed the decking and renovated the insides to create a unique holiday home that has a special character all its own. The front two pods are the living spaces: kitchen/dining and lounge each with stacker doors which open up onto the central deck. The two rear pods are identical in configuration, each split into a double room and a bunk room with internal access to each other, perfect for one family per pod. The bathroom adjoins the lounge and has a shower over a bath, a toilet and a double vanity. The utility room has washer, dryer and laundry tub and a second toilet. The outdoor shower on the northern deck is a completely open showering experience! Both double bedrooms enjoy the unequalled lake views and you'll wake to see the sun rising over Mount Tarawera. A genuine Stoked Hot Tub sits under a pohutukawa on the edge of the front lawn and is a perfect way to relax and enjoy the vista by day and the famous starfilled lake Tarawera sky by night. The lake bach is ideally suited for... ROMANTIC ESCAPES Think fluffy white towels, crisp sheets on a plush super king bed, relaxing together with the stunning lake and mountain backdrop, long soaks in the luxurious Stoked hot tub and cheeky outdoor shower all set in complete privacy and solitude. FAMILY FUN Each of the two separate sleeping pods are split into a double room and a bunk room with internal access between, so it's perfect for one or two families to holiday together. Renovated beachfront holiday home with stunning sea views, open-plan living and great indoor-outdoor flow. Two large bedrooms with good wardrobes and storage, and a third bedroom with two single beds. Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living area opens onto a large deck and lawn area with great sun. A second deck with a barbecue catches the last of the evening sun. In addition to the indoor shower, enjoy the ambiance of a private outdoor hot water shower. Fenced off-street parking. Wifi.

Big Blue Ocean Views

This sun drenched beach Bach in the heart of Ohope - New Zealand’s most loved beach, is a warm relaxed space to really chill out! Stunning views of Whale Island and the beach which is only a 2 min walk. A stones throw from the Ohope beach Charter Club, medical centre/ pharmacy and playground.. handy to the local shops and everything else Ohope has to offer! There is a tavern, coffee cart, pharmacy/doctors 1 min walk from the front door and an honesty box with local produce on the front lawn!!

Wytchwood Lake House is steps away from the lake edge - just follow the wide garden path down to the water. It is comfortably furnished, with a warm, cosy fire in winter and doors opening onto both front and back decks for summer. The sheltered back deck overlooking the garden is great for outdoor dining, while the expansive front deck overlooks Lake Rotorua, giving you great sunsets and night views of the city lights. The property is a 20 min drive from the city, down a shared drive.

Have fun with the whole family at this stylish retreat with less than 100m to New Zealand's favourite beach, Ohope. This home has been extensively renovated with modern new kitchen, double glazing, HRV, two heat pumps and wood fire - great all year round. Only a short 7 minute drive to Ohope's international golf course and Port Ohope is popular for launching boats and jet skis. Just enjoy a walk, with lots of walking and bike tracks in the area.

Our family of 4 would love to host you in our newly built bnb. Enjoy your own private setting with a peaceful view and open living. After exploring and enjoying the endless activities nearby (see notes) you can relax in the spa, light the outdoor fire, and make yourself at home. Suitable for couples wanting a relaxing break. House is situated on our section but it is fully self contained and private/fenced off.
