Less than an hour from Minneapolis, the Loondocks is a sun-soaked, pet-friendly hideout on beautiful Big Eagle Lake. Natural stone steps (NOTE: These are uneven, so do not book if you have mobility concerns!) lead down to the bungalow-style house, a stylish bunkhouse, wood-burning sauna, spacious deck with lake views, and flat waterfront yard. Stylle Hytte ///\ Northern Cabin Retreat

Our Nordic inspired A-Frame is known as the Stylle Hytte which is Norwegian for ‘Quiet Cabin’. Here you can take in 5 secluded acres of woods with trails winding down to the private riverfront. Only an hour north of the Twin Cities, enjoy modern conveniences like WIFI (60mbps), smart TV, complete kitchen, full bathroom, a bedroom and loft both with queen beds, a cozy living room with a real wood fireplace and an outdoor electric barrel sauna. Calendars are open 9 months in advance.

Sweet Pea’s Retreat

Relax with the whole family at this little peace of heaven on earth. For the family, a hunting, fishing, or golfing trip. We have everything you may want for a nice little getaway! Guest will also have access to water toys at an additional service charge of $100 per stay. This includes 2 kayaks 1 paddle board. Life jackets are required on the lake. We have a limited sizes on site. S/M, XL, XXL Please bring your own if these will not fit. The General store also sells life jackets.

The Lazy Loon is a family friendly cabin only an hour from the Twin Cities! This 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home is perfect for creating memories on beautiful Elk Lake. A hot spot for walleye fishing, the shallow water is great for swimming, non-motorized and motorized boating. Private dock with public launch available. Take in the gorgeous lakeside sunsets with a camp fire or grilling on the back patio. Inside, enjoy a gourmet kitchen, fireplace, record player, luxury linens and more.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. A manager lives on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r."

Star Gazing Glass House 4 Season with Hot Tub

This glass house has a mini split offering both heat and air conditioning. There is something truly magical about being submersed in nature. Watching beautiful snowflakes cascade around its walls, snuggled under heated blankets while star gazing. Rainstorms have a new meaning, sunsets and sunrises become a life-changing experience. This is a photographer's dream, a romantic getaway, or the perfect place to reconnect with yourself. Private hot tub and fire pit.

Sunny Rush Retreat

Peaceful lake house located on a quiet cul-de-sac. Enjoy the spacious multilevel lakeside deck overlooking the water, perfect for soaking up sun and relaxing. Home is all one level. Enjoy a kayak ride, swim or jump off the dock. Take a walk or run along a paved lakeside road in the warm weather. During the fall, take in colors, visit a nearby orchard, or go for a round of golf at the nearby course just 10 miles away. Winter is great for a getaway too!

winter rates = no boat & no lake garage or dock * starts mid sept. NO parties allowed. 3 bed 2 bath lake home on Rush Lake. Rush Lake is connected to Julia and Briggs approx 1000 acre of lake to cruise on the included pontoon with your stay! There is no pontoon or dock with winter rates. Sleeps 6. If pontoon were to break and not be available , deduction of 75 $ per day of stay will be deducted as when renting out stuff, it does happen.
