We had a truly memorable Easter weekend at By the Mercey. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed, Evelyne and Richard even came by to greet us personally, and had left a beautiful handwritten note along with a thoughtfully curated welcome book full of local highlights and nature photography. The views overlooking the Mercey River and Devonport were absolutely stunning, and the house itself was spotless and cozy. My wife, daughter, and son all felt so comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. The location was peaceful and scenic, yet only minutes from shops, parks, and just a 5-minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania terminal, which made our travel super easy. It was the perfect little escape for our family, and we’d absolutely love to come back again. Thanks Evelyne and Richard.

We had a great stay, it was so clean it felt like we were the very first guests! The kitchen area was small but it had everything you could need to cook for yourself. The space was cosy and private and easy distance to walk to the beach. (Although walking back is a bit steep!) We loved our short stay and as frequent visitors to the area I am sure we will be back.

Alice Beside The Sea - 2 Bedroom Apartment.

The stay at Alice's place was ideal for us arriving on the Spirit into Devonport and located a few minutes from the ferry terminal and was great to begin settling in for the evening. The location was ideal with the seaside opposite and some great parklands and walking trails and also only 10 minutes into Devonport and all the amenities there. Alice was able to provide some insight into local attractions in the area to enjoy. Overall a great place, ideally located and handy to most facilities.

Terrific position and perfect host. Accomodation is private and extremely well thought out. We had our 4yr old with us and he loved all the new toys and activities kindly supplied. His favourite fruit is passion fruit and with a vine out the back full of fruit our only struggle was keeping him from picking too many! 5/5

We loved our stay. Perfect accommodation, could not fault it. Comfy bed, lots of hanging space in robe, spacious bathroom with heated towel rails, kitchen well appointed and lounge well styled with a nice outlook. Exactly as described. Could see sun rise from kitchen window and sun set from lounge. Enjoyed our evening walks along the beach. Cathryn was a lovely host and provided prompt communication when needed. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Cathryn.

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Michael's place. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The communication with Michael was smooth and prompt, making the booking process hassle-free. Upon arrival, our second time stay we were right at home again. The space was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, with close access to nearby attractions including all conveniences. We enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We cannot recommend Michael's place and their property highly enough. Thank you for such another memorable stay—we will definitely be back! Cheers...

A very spacious and comfortable place to stay. Lots of books/games/activities available for families and short walk to the beach. Very clean and great kitchen for cooking as well as spacious eating areas inside and out. Groceries/cafes/pubs 10 minute drive away. Hosts very responsive. Checkin and Checkout very easy.

I had a great time at John's. My room was very comfortable and clean. Great location close to the beach and the walks. Prior to my arrival, John was prompt answering my questions. Upon my arrival he was friendly and generous. He made me feel at home. I left Davenport with lots of beautiful memories.
