Such a peaceful great location. Joanne was friendly and responsive. There was a wonderful lovely cat that hangs out nearby. Very skittish at first, but if you feed him nicely and have cool cat vibes he quickly turns around. Great for both cat lovers and cat haters alike! Loved hanging out at the balcony or inside on the swing at night, was such a great feeling being on a mountain side with the sounds of nature. It was surreal being in such a cozy home yet right in nature. Would love to return, definitely worth it.

The place is actually better than the description. We loved that the place is far from everything and it’s very quiet. We felt very closed to nature. The views the green of the mountains, the water falls, the rain, the sound of the Coquis at night, the birds in the morning, the roosters singing in the morning, the bulls greeting us, the small lake, everything. The house is well maintained and well prepared with washer and dryer as a plus. I would recommend this place to all nature lovers. We even met the owner of the property, a great guy with a lots of stories to tell.

This property was absolutely amazing! It was spotless and incredibly well-maintained—truly felt like a home away from home. Alberto was more than just a great host—he felt like a member of our family. He was attentive, kind, and always there when we needed anything. I especially want to thank him for being so patient and comforting when I got lost on the way. He stayed calm, gave me clear directions, and guided me until I arrived safely. That kind of care is rare, and it meant so much. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in Jayuya with a host who genuinely cares. Thank you, Alberto! A beautiful place with incredible views, you can see the ocean or the beautiful mountains. I observed the nature of the birds, a beautiful guaraguao being chased by pitirres. The host is excellent, providing suggestions on where to visit and the best routes according to conditions. The staff at the house is very friendly, I even had the pleasure of meeting the mayor of Jayuya, who visited the house. Unfortunately, I had to leave the stay due to circumstances beyond the place, there was a widespread power outage across the island. Despite leaving, I hope to return on another occasion.

Our stay in Casita del Rio was a wonderful disconnect, just what we were looking for. The location helps you to be in contact with nature, heard so many birds and coquis from the balcony overlooking the river. There are several places to access the river in the property, we visited them all. Our dogs loved running in the big yard and into the river. If its rainy, the ground may be wet and soft, so make sure to take appropriate shoes to enjoy the place. The outside kitchen is well furnished, there are also plates, glasses, cutlery and coffee mugs inside. The bathroom has large transparent panels by the sink and in the shower that look into the forest and makes you feel like you're out there. The temperature was nice, the fan was enough for the first night and due to rain, the fan was not needed at all the second night. The property runs with solar power, and while there was a blackout in nearby communities we didn't notice since we had power, water and cell signal. Loved it!

The climbers delight was just that! An absolute delight. The space was clean and fully stocked for cooking and heading to the beach. Great local recommendations were posted on the wall. Multiple epic sport climbing areas were under a ten minute drive away. We also loved to pool and grill area. If we visit Ciales again, we’ll definitely be booking this place again

A beautiful and relaxing stay! We loved exploring the river, relaxing on the patios, and sipping the delicious Hacienda Prosperidad coffee each morning. The house was cozy, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up for families. Alberto and Marjorie thought of everything. Thank you for an unforgettable stay! ¡Gracias!

Kalina was responsive and helpful, making sure we got in ok since it was dark out when we arrived. The animals on the property are beautiful, adorable and friendly and included peacocks, chickies, cats and ducks. The sounds of nature at night were relaxing and even though we had some rain during our visit, we got to see an additional waterfall right from our room and the tubs. The waterfall swimming hole was a fun little adventure and so cool for a low key day in the rain forest. We are hoping to come back soon :)
