It is the perfect vacation place. This place has direct lake access with scenic peaceful surroundings. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cherished each moment we spent. Barbara's place feels like home with thoughtful attention to details. Especially if you are traveling with a big group or kids, she has provided enough toys and supplies like kitchen/bath towel, coffee etc. Highly recommended Just one thing to mention, the King bed is on a lofted bedroom which does not have four wall enclosure like regular rooms. I think this is a Michigan architecture style and looking carefully at the pictures you can easily figure it out. So something to be careful about for a big group

Perfect place to stay for a Girls Trip! 6 of us stayed a long fall weekend at host Shaney's beautiful rental home which looks right out on the straits & majestic Mackinac Bridge. An unbelievable view day & night! Shaney knew one of us had a 60th birthday & went all out w/ extra touches & surprise on arrival, a bottle of champagne in a 60 gift bag & a 60 decorated champagne flute & 5 extra glasses on the dining table. Snacks, sweets & coffee provided were great. Cleanliness, interior decorating & artwork were stellar! Shaney was super responsive to any question & sent msg to look for northern lights - spectacular! The kitchen has everything you need, including gallons of drinking water due to their being well water at the tap. Have stayed at other rentals where dishes, silver & pans are scarce but there was plenty, even a crockpot & paperware. Can't say enough good things about this one, you have to see it & stay here to believe it. Tons of stuff to do & sights to see in the area!

Trestin was an outstanding host. He was knowledgeable about the activity our vacation was built around, and gave us perfect tips for timing, parking, and planning. When our vacation took an unexpected and unfortunate turn right at the end, he extended his hand to offer help was able to assist us in figuring out what needed to be done. We would reserve with him again upon our next visit.

Nick was a fabulous host. The house was very clean, home-like feeling and a quiet space to relax. It reminded me of the good ole days of going to our grandparents home "up North". Nick was very responsive to questions even late into the evening. There's a lot to do in the area even during the off season. I highly recommend staying here. The only negative of this house was the shower head being so low and hitting my head on it, but everything else was perfect. We will definitely be booking again when we're in the area.

Everything was great and as listed in the posting. The lake view is amazing and I’d love to come back in the summer when it’s not frozen. : )

Beautiful view of the water! Close to many good restaurants & shops. This room is connected to an inn, and the large, shared deck is connected to the bedroom and living room. There could be noise from other guests while you are there. The entrance is next to the lobby with the vending machine, so again- the other guests will be nearby. We enjoyed exploring the area… beautiful location!

I can’t recommend Bridget’s place enough! My family and I came up to st ignace for a UP get away weekend and this was the perfect way to spend time together in the evening while also having privacy. The location is walking distance to Sheplers which was so convenient for getting to Mackinac island. The space itself is roomy, clean and gives you a beautiful view of Lake Huron. Bridget is also a prompt, clear and thoughtful host. If we ever get the chance, we will absolutely be staying with Bridget again in the future!

Great place to stay in a beautiful area away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Sara (Owner) was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. The condo was clean and was the perfect size for a group of five.

Really loved the setup with a patio walkout onto the beach and the sunrise in the morning over the lake was glorious. Very close to the ferry and loved the convenience. Great place.

Edmond’s place is actually even better than expected. It’s bigger in real time than the photos show. It is very comfortable and so quaint above the bakery. It was super quiet being above a bakery and across from the ferry. We heard no bothersome noise at all. The beds and linens are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, there is nice comfortable furniture, and we felt right at home. As others have said, the bakery coupon is an extra touch that is classy and honestly just fun! I would stay again and struggled to leave. Thank you for such a lovely home away from home. Do not hesitate to stay here. Very convenient location. BIG FAN!!

Carol's place is a great spot! It did everything we needed it to plus have a beautiful view! Wish we could have stayed longer!

We absolutely loved staying at the Blue Heron House! Our daughter loved playing on the beach, shallow and perfect for small children! The house was stocked with everything we needed, lots of baby/children items and outdoor toys included which made our stay so much easier! It is in a very nice and friendly area, giving you some privacy but also close enough to many tourist attractions. It was the perfect place to stay during our UP vacation!

We stayed for work and couldn't be happier with the cabin. it was super cozy and comfortable. The rooms offered plenty of privacy for us. The GPS wasn't taking us to the right spot but the signs made it clear. The hosts were amazing and very flexible with our stay.

Amazing sunsets!!! We had a relaxing weekend. This place had everything g we needed. My only recommendation is the mattress in the master needs to be replaced as it’s very broken down to the point that you can feel the springs. Other than that I would highly recommend staying here!!

We had a great time at the cottage on the river. It was very private and peaceful with lots of ships going by. It is close enough to walk to the parks and town area. The cottage itself is a wonderful mix of eclectic furnishings and decorations. After 10 days here I still don’t think we noticed all of the details. It was fun each day finding something interesting that we hadn’t seen yet. We would recommend Brenda’s cottage as a nice relaxing place where you can explore the eastern U.P.

Great house great lake- close to mackinac island

Absolutely beautiful area, and the house was perfect for my family and our dog! Squeaky clean, wonderfully well-kept, peaceful surroundings, and great location to reach the upper and lower peninsula. Highly recommend!

The house was in a perfect location with breathtaking views of the straits of Mackinaw. Walking distance to town and nearby parks was essential and we loved having a spot to bring our dog!

Great place to watch sunsets and moon sets Was a short drive to botanical gardens to watch freighters come through and take a walk Locks were apx an hours drive away and full of animals to see on the way Only downside was restaurants not close by so be prepared to drive 30 to 45 mins or take the ferry if you want to dine out We had everything we needed to cook both inside and out and grill or use the fire pit for food We enjoyed the house and lake so much we didn’t want to leave we only left the house one day to go explore and check out the locks Will be booking again Thank you for sharing your house we left relaxed and recharged
