Johnnie’s Hideaway

Johnnie’s Hideaway sits on a private wooded lot on Johnnie’s Creek. Close to destinations such as Little River Canyon, Mentone, Desoto State Park, Weiss Lake, are all a short drive. Our cabin sleeps six with a queen bed on main floor, and two full beds in loft area. Main floor has 2 baths with utility room, fully appointed kitchen, dining/living room combo which features a two story rock fireplace with gas logs. A covered wrap around porch & sun deck on the back make great outdoor spaces.

Relax in a soft color palette with direct access to water February through September, and wooded countryside year-round. Explore hiking trails and rock climbing in the southern Appalachian lowlands. Fish for bass and crappie in our lake. Jump off the dock for shallow swimming in the warm months, walk outside on any clear night and see a sky full of stars!

Hideaway Cabin by the Water

Hideaway cabin is located outside of Little River Canyon on top of Appalachian Mountain. Make yourself at home in this cozy cabin with sunset views from the front porch and view of a natural water/pond from the screened porch/deck. Enjoy your stay, relaxing and listening to the birds and other country sounds at night while sitting out on the screened porch or deck. The cabin has 2 bedrooms with ensuites and sofa bed. There is a full bath with a walk-in shower off the living room.

LITTLE BEAR CABIN , Short walk to Canyon rim

A stone's throw away from Little River Canyon National Preserve, this peaceful place is as quiet as it gets. Quick access to hiking, climbing, kayaking, swimming and all around adventuring. Staying here makes it convenient to do all of the above or you can kick back, relax and do nothing at all. Don't forget to take a peek at the night sky, with almost no light pollution, the stars shine bright. (located 20 min from the middle of Fort Payne, 40 min from Mentone, 40 min from Gadsden)
