Black Water Junction Cabin

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Hermione’s Purse

In the heart of downtown Chatham just across the creek from Chatham Hall, you will find a tiny home with room for everyone. Private and quiet with sweeping green views, Hermione’s Purse is within easy walking distance of both private schools and all downtown businesses. Built to last in 1960, the original part of the home consists of the living room and kitchen, with two bedrooms upstairs. The home’s first indoor bathroom and a bedroom downstairs were added in the 1980s.

Our family's best memories occurred here - so we're opening our doors to groups looking to make memories of their own. With 3 bedrooms, 5 beds and free parking, there's room for everyone. Our huge family room with sleeper sectional, office nook, back deck, large yard, WiFi, large TVs, and games are reasons to stay in - but if you venture out, we're 10 minutes from the riverwalk and parks. With modern farmhouse decor, Retreat on Rosemary says, "Welcome to the South, y'all!"

This adorable three bedroom is perfect for your stay in Gretna. Hit the sidewalks for a run or walk down to the best coffee shop around, The Pod. Take a quick 15 min drive to Smith Mountain Lake or visit the wineries just outside of town. Otterview Mountain House

Otterview has one of the most incredible views in the state, huge deck, and pond. The house is open format with 3 bedrooms, a top of the line kitchen, cozy living room, and extraordinary great room. Look out at the Peaks of Otter, enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets. You are welcome to grill out on the Blackstone, enjoy the firepit, and relax on the dock. There is two miles of trails on the 37 acre property with their own trail signs and map.

Outside on the covered porch offers a table and chairs along with a propane blackstone griddle and grill.10 mins. to Liberty University.

Lakehouse on Leesville Lake in Bedford County VA

My late wife, Gail, & I came out of retirement to renovate this unique home with a completely new kitchen, vinyl plank flooring, new deck & new well in the Fall of 2019. This 3 bedroom lakehouse is very secluded within about an hour drive from Lynchburg, Roanoke or Danville. The dock and boat ramp are especially convenient. Keep an eye out for eagles, osprey, deer, bear, turkeys, otters, geese & heron.
