High Country Cabin. Country getaway near Twizel.

High Country Cabin is a stylishly decorated cabin in the heart of the Southern Alps on the South Island of New Zealand. Inspired by the Backcountry huts throughout the area, it provides a rustic country-style experience. Situated 15 minutes outside of Twizel in the heart of the Mackenzie, it has direct access to all of the natural amenities that the area is world famous for including snow sports, mountaineering, hiking & tramping, mountain-biking, hunting & fishing among many other activities.

The cosy cabin with stunning view and private spa

This adorable and very warm winter cabin, with stunning views and spa, is part of our 25-acre property, located behind The Lookout Lodge, at the manager's residence. This rustic, cute cabin has a queen bed, and a separate private bathroom with an outside hot shower house just next to the cabin. There is also a private spa where you can enjoy amazing star gazing as you soak! You’ll love this cabin because of its unique location, awesome shower, stunning scenery, and taste of kiwi farm life.

Boutique vineyard in the heart of Central Otago, in splendid isolation surrounded by mountain vistas. A luxuriously designed large studio in a rustic stone barn, by a tennis court and ponds. Retreat to our luxury barn studio where you can overlook the pond and river with your morning coffee. Later sit in front of the fire (seasonal), enjoying views of the vineyard and mountains, treating yourself to our wine, served in the best restaurants around the world. An authentic vineyard experience.

Maori Point Vineyard Cottage

Maori Point cottage is nestled in our vineyard, 30km from Wanaka , with spectacular mountain views and access to the Clutha riverbank for walks or picnics. Warm in winter with underfloor heating and fireplace, the living areas include a full cook's kitchen which opens onto a verandah, lawn & native garden. The large upstairs bedroom has king bed and mountain views, downstairs bedroom has a queen bed with garden outlook. A quiet peaceful environment, and a good base for exploring.

Cosy alpine cabin in the high country

Embrace cosy, hygge-inspired living at Ruataniwha Hut – a welcoming wood fired cabin set in the high country of the Southern Alps. Sip coffee in the mornings while gazing at the mountains. Explore the Aoraki / Mt Cook National Park during the day. Cook, eat and relax under a blanket of stars at night. Perfect for couples or a small family who appreciate a simple getaway and a base to adventure from. Only 15 mins from Twizel and 50 mins from Aoraki / Mt Cook National Park.

Hillside Retreat & Woodstoked Hot Tub

This unique place has a style all its own. Come and enjoy some peace and quiet admiring the outstanding views of Mount Benger in your own wood stoked stainless steel hot tub. The hot tub will be filled with fresh water and heated on request. There are several outstanding cafes locally along with the beautiful Clutha Gold Cycle trail. The Millers Flat Tavern is open for meals Pinders Pond is a local swimming attraction. Highland Bike hire in Roxburgh has ebikes for hire.

Mountain Magic - Valley Hideaway

Elevated with stunning views of the Gibbston Valley vineyards and positioned right next to Mt Rosa, when you first arrive you will be impressed by the the sense of space, serenity & mountain views all around. Our accommodation has been made with your comfort in mind. The price is for 3 rooms with one adjoining bathroom, kitchenette/ lounge and outdoor patio. A wine/cycle trail is on the doorstep with two bikes to use at your discretion.

Kaituki Ridge

Kaituki Ridge Sleepout Experience a peaceful retreat at Kaituki Sleepout, a cozy, stand-alone cabin on our 30-acre working farm with sheep and Highland cattle. Just 30 meters from our family home, it’s a serene escape only 25 minutes from Lake Wanaka and Cromwell. Note: Both the fireplace and outdoor bath are wood-fired. If you’re not comfortable lighting wood fires, this may not be the best fit. We look forward to hosting you!
