Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Mackey Landing

This beautiful self contained 750 square foot suite is ideally situated for a quiet get away for one or two guests. Located only 5 minutes from town. The private suite has its own parking for one vehicle, a king size bed and a pull out couch for up to an additional 2 people. It has a private bathroom and an infrared sauna for your private use. The kitchen has a fridge, lg.toaster oven and induction hot plate. We provide all the essentials for a simple, healthy delicious self catered breakfast.

Jordan River Cabin

All the comforts of a modern cabin in our newly built "Jordan River Cabin" nestled amongst 3 acres of tall evergreens with floor to ceiling window views. Fire up the BBQ on the wrap around deck. Wood stove comes supplied with kindling & firewood. Open concept, fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Fresh towels & linens for 2 king size bedrooms & 2 rain shower bathrooms, a huge soaker bathtub upstairs, a hot outdoor rain shower + wood fired cedar hot tub & a newly added meditation deck!

Salt Spring Gite

Our "gite" is a self-contained 2 bedroom cottage in the most beautiful part of Salt Spring, the south eastern tip, near Ruckle Park. From our cottage, you can walk to this historic working farm and park, explore its forested trails, and then head to the many beach areas a short distance away. Visit farm stands and take the Studio Tour. Take a dip in one of many lakes. Climb Maxwell Mountain or stroll through the Saturday Market and other unique shops. Salt Spring is a true one of a kind.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

The Woodshed

Nestled among the towering trees of Jordan River, BC, Woodshed offers a serene retreat. Clean lines, natural wood finishes, and minimalist design blend with the lush coastal forest. Expansive windows invite dappled light and frame uninterrupted views of evergreens, creating tranquility and connection to the outdoors. Designed to evoke calmness, the space balances warmth and simplicity, where the whisper of trees and distant ocean sounds set the perfect backdrop for rest and reflection.

Hideaway Guest Suite & Sauna Close to the Ocean

A perfect ocean-side Suite & Sauna tucked in the trees and ferns at the end of a quiet culdesac. The newly built shipping container suite design is modern, light, clutter-free, clean, and features a Sauna / Warm Room. An ideal stay for one or two guests. Stay in and relax, or walk down the trail through the forest will find you at the ocean where you can watch the waves,  sunsets or continue walking up to China Beach. The location is quiet, safe, and comfortable.

Mount Tzouhalem Lookout

Welcome to our listing and the Cowichan Valley. We overlook Quamichan Lake, and are located midway between salt water at Maple Bay and the city of Duncan (each are a six minute drive away). We are also midway between Nanaimo and Victoria (1 hour drives). For bikers and hikers the Mt. Tzoulhalem (Kaspa Road) trailhead is 600m away (we provide bike lockup). Our rate is for 2 guests. Additional guests are $50 per night. Sorry, we're not child-proofed.

Please note that while there is wi-fi at the cabin, there is no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.
