Set on private farmland on an elevated site, The oat box provides a luxurious haven of peace and tranquility to escape from the world for a little while. Our 1968 Bedford TK Horse Lorry has been lovingly converted into guest accommodation for 2 adults using repurposed materials to create a cosy, welcoming hideaway. It is the perfect base to explore the panoramic North Coast of Ireland with its many tourist attractions. There are a great selection of restaurants and quality coffee shops nearby.

Feel like you’re ‘escaping from it all’ while still being within striking distance of neighbouring towns. The area is also popular with Game of Thrones fans, and we are in a prime location to visit all the hot spots like “The Dark Hedges” Kings Road, Cushendun Caves, Murlough Bay, and Ballintoy Harbour.

The comfortable living room has a working open fire, leading to an eat in kitchen which is well equipped and opens onto an enclosed patio. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms and a family shower room. Centrally located between Belfast and The Causeway Coast, this unique property is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area.

We can't wait for you to stay! Beattie's Byre is located not far from the local village of Broughshane, on our family farm. With forest walks, animal parks, golf courses, shops, play areas, coffee shops and restaurants within 5 miles there is plenty to explore or you can choose to stay on site where our garden and patio areas are complete with comfortable garden seating and hot tub overlooking Slemish Mountain. A wonderful place to be at peace with nature and plenty to explore.

Conveniently close to A43, only 15 minutes from Glenariffe, queen of the Glens of Antrim. A perfect base to explore The Causeway Coast & Glens, home to The Giant's Causeway, Carrick a Rede, and film locations for Game of Thrones. Just a 10 min drive to renowned Galgorm Resort & The Ivory Pavilion.
