Cozy Detroit Cabin

We purchased this cabin as our family's vacation home and wanted to share the peace and comfort it has afforded us with others. The home was built in 2005 in withstood the terrible fires that destroyed a large number of buildings in 2020. Thankfully our cabin survived and the town is rebuilding! The cabin located right off of Highway 22 across from Detroit Lake. The cabin is surrounded by trees on a quiet dead end road. Has heating and air conditioning, as well as high speed internet. *no pets

McKenzie Bridge River House near Sahalie Falls

Drive down a long private road, set off of the HWY, to find a riverfront cabin amidst the lush Willamette National Forest. As you wind through the driveway you will find a sanctuary for relaxation, recreation, and comfort. A trail from the back deck will lead you down to the bank of the emerald waters of the McKenzie River. The McKenzie River Trail parallels the property, and is accessed from the private road to the cabin. The property has a campground setting, with river and forest views.

Prepare to be blown away by the astounding sunrises , sunsets and awesome moonrises you will enjoy at the Pointe of Blessing. We feel our canyon perch is a gift from God too good to keep to ourselves. Our cozy home sits atop an outcropping of rock which juts out from the canyon rim affording us unobstructed views up and down the length of the Crooked River Canyon. We overlook several holes of the Crooked River Ranch golf course and Smith Rock is visible in the distance to the South.

The cabin is designed for year-round comfort, including air conditioning for warmer summer days. A perfect getaway for couples looking to spend a romantic weekend in the woods or a home-base for those who are here to enjoy everything Mt. Hood has to offer. Hiking, fishing, skiing are only minutes away!

It is positioned on the edge of the Crooked River Gorge with breathtaking views of the canyon. The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.
