Architect´s Cottage in West Iceland

A unique architectural structure off the beaten track, some 25 km. from Borgarnes, offering tranquility, scenery, wilderness. Set in a birch-woodland and next to a small river, this place offers access to untouched nature and the Hraundalur valley, but also to the Snæfellsnes and Borgarfjordur areas. An open space - kitchen, dining and living - two double bedrooms, studio with sleeper sofa, wc, sauna and shower. Spacious well furnished sundeck to take in the view to the Snæfellsnes glacier.

Contemporary farmhouse with sauna and a great selection of books on a private 700 hectare property outside Borgarnes on the way to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Approached via a two kilometre private road - this is as secluded a place as you can find. You will cancel your plans and not want to leave the house. The landscape is magnificent as are the views in all directions. Two small lakes are home to a variety of birds including a pair of eagles who visit in late summer and throughout winter.

We are located in the center of a trip to Snæfellsens National park, West-fjords and if you want to travel to the North side of Iceland or in Borgarfjörður. The camper is heated with water and built to use in winter time in down to minus 30 degrees. The kitchen has every thing you need to cook. Out side there is a hot tub and a shower with geothermal water.
