River Ridge Retreat inviting cabin, views, hot tub

River Ridge Retreat is a beautiful 4-bed 3-bath home on 1.3 wooded acres in the gated River Ridge community just 6 mi from Boone. This warm and inviting house sits on a ridge above the New River, which provides great mountain views from the deck and from inside through a soaring wall of windows. The home offers multiple living and entertaining options, 7-person hot tub, and beds for 10 adults. A short 4 minute walk takes you to a river access where you can fish, play, and tube in the New River.

Awenasa is the Cherokee word for "my home" and WWA will be your home away from home. 20 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is in a private community, nestled in trees, with the sound of Lost Creek heard from the deck. The cabin is surrounded by forest with a main deck and an upper deck. Just recently remodeled and redecorated, we designed Sleeping Bear to be the perfect place for anyone to enjoy the mountain life. Fishing, walking, biking, hiking, tubing, kayaking, bird, butterfly, wildlife watchers and 35 -45 minutes to skiing.

This setting is like a little hidden natural preserve tucked away - one of the few "old home-places" that still exists in Downtown Boone.
