This romantic place to stay offers a history all its own. Our Missouri-Pacific (Mo-Pac) Caboose was built in the 1950s and is appropriately decorated like a '50s diner. Just outside of the caboose is our American Bison herd. You can sit on the deck & watch them graze & play. Just down the way, you can check out our other animals: alpacas, llamas, mini horses, mini donkeys, pygmy goats, rabbits & a turkey named Pumpkin! A stay at Buffalo Creek is one you'll never forget!

Guests staying in the Boxcar have access to the shared amenities of Rassawek Station including the patio “Flat Car” and our Lodge Cabin. Guests also have access to our ponds and 5+ miles of private country roads for hiking, running and biking. The boxcar living area has a sofa and coffee table and small area with table, two chairs and a mini fridge/freezer with a Keurig. The bedroom has a queen bed and dresser and there is a full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

Come spend some time in a real, completely refurbished railroad caboose (with all the modern amenities) just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Orchard Gap, approximate mile 193.5. Probably the most unique lodging along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We now have disc golf baskets and discs as well as cornhole sets. Pet owners please read the pet policy under additional rules. We DO NOT have any cleaning fees, never have. The service fees are not ours.
