To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1,300 acre preserve and Newbert pond. Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond. If you book in November, there is a possibility that if it gets cold, you will not have a hot outdoor shower and will use water from a 5 gallon ceramic container for drinking and cooking.

Our cabin is a 2 min. walk to the rocky shore of Frenchman Bay. We are half way between Acadia National Park, 45 minutes away and Schoodic Peninsula, 20 minutes away. Our cabin is cozy and peaceful. Full kitchen and a gas fireplace for your enjoyment along with a compfy bed and a compfy futon in living room. The view from the covered porch of this 3-bedroom Bungalow, a bathing house, built in the early 1900s, is an ever exploding fusion of white and black birds taking wing over the island out front with swimming cove nearby. Grandfathered to sit right on the shoreline, the Bungalow is a variation of house with swimming pool, only it's the ocean, not a swimming pool.
