Had a great stay this weekend! Super clear with instructions and such a cute little area. Bus stop within walking distance and not far from the city at all. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Lidia was very responsive and helpful! We had a great time at her place. The NJ Transit buses to Port Authority are very frequent (and just $4). I would definitely visit again!

It's always a pleasure staying with Maria. She's a very thoughtful and attentive host. This is my second stay at Maria's and already booked a third stay. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Sitting in the large swivel chair and staring out the French Doors in the morning and in the evening is a delight, the backyard is like it's own little forest. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with convenient parking and a warm welcoming host.

The accommodation looks just like the photos, and the host was very responsive to messages. There are plenty of buses to Manhattan ($4 one way), which makes getting around really convenient. The room was warm and cozy, with enough towels and clean bed linens. The internet and TV worked perfectly, and there was also a coffee machine with capsules in the room — a really nice touch.

I stopped at Lily’s house for 3 nights as a female solo traveller. It was my first time visiting NYC and Lily was super helpful! On the first morning, she walked to the bus stop with me, and made sure I knew which bus to get to get to and from Manhattan. She was super hospitable, really made you feel at home. The room was very clean and spacious, the bathroom was always clean with fresh towels etc, and the home is beautiful! The area of Leonia is a lovely suberb, very peaceful and tranquil. Location wise - it takes around 35/40 minutes to reach Manhattan, and the bus stop is a 5 minute walk down the road. I would absolutely stay with Lily again if I came back to NYC. Nergis is a great host and was very friendly with my dog. She offered me coffee and tea. The room is spacious, although the bed is small (only big enough for one person). I was glad to have a small desk. I was happy to meet a cute dog and a friendly cat who were staying there.

Alex responded within the hour to any messages we sent before or during our stay. In fact on a colder day, Alex even contacted us during the day to ask if we would like him to turn the heating on for us, very thoughtful. The Airbnb was just like the photographs and description and was not disappointed. Brian and I had a lovely stay and it was a perfect location for our visit to New York. There is a selection of board games at the Airbnb for rainy days. There is a great choice of buses to New York which run regularly at either end of the street, the property being in the middle. Alice is a great host, and her place was absolutely what we were looking for. Beautiful views of the lake, that presented us with an exquisite sunset. The place was cozy, clean, very peaceful, and it met all of our expectations. We look forward to returning during a different time of the year.

Ted's place is really good and clean! My friend and I were able to relax and unwind, getting a much-needed break from the city. The kitchen is also well-equipped, making it easy to cook and feel at home. Plus, the locals are super friendly and helpful, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay with family for the night. The place was very clean, comfortable, and just as described. We enjoyed using some of the amenities, and everything worked perfectly. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

This was just what I needed for my first trip to Mohegan Lake! Quiet neighborhood. Cozy bed. Great water pressure. I’ll definitely be booking again if I come back to this cute little town.

It was so beautiful and prepped so nicely. Everything was so clean and it was such a peaceful area. Host was very responsive and there was cleaning supplies, along with extra sheets and towels. Overall loved this listing and would stay here again!

We had a wonderful three-month stay here at the lake. The setting was beautiful and Elmir was a fantastic host. I especially liked watching the people enjoying the lake when it was frozen over, and the Buffleheads and other diving ducks after the ice was gone.

We had a great time here. The outdoor space, deck and kayak/ paddle boat was a big bonus. We will definitely go back!

This was our second visit at Tony's lakeside home after two years. You can walk out of the back door and sit right at the edge of the lake in a very nice seating area. There are actually several levels of seating that you can choose from. We felt very peaceful watching geese and ducks living there while we had our morning coffee and meals. The place and experience are amazing. We highly recommend it.

Chateau René is the perfect peaceful escape. The home cozy and well maintained - exactly as pictured. The view made every morning feel like a dream. René was so warm, responsive, and accommodating. He shared great local recommendations and clear instructions for the house, which made settling in a breeze. The most special part of my stay was getting engaged here! René secretly coordinated with my now-fiancé and friend to make it all happen. His excitement and willingness to help meant a lot to us. Overall, 10/10 stay. We’ll definitely be back!

A hidden gem! This spot has a ton of character and the hosts are awesome! The lake and surrounding area is beautiful as well, with plenty to do for the outdoorsy type and cute shops and great restaurants within minutes. would highly recommend and hope to find time for a return trip!

Chris’ place was immaculately decorated and felt peaceful! Beautiful spot right on the pristine lake, foliage being in peak season definitely made things even better. Close to fun fall towns like Sleepy Hollow and Cold Spring, but honestly could just spend every minute relaxing at the well-stocked home. You can tell Chris and his family take pride in their home and are happy to share it to price the best experience for their guests. Chris was quick to respond if needed and went out of his way to make a trip quickly to ensure we were properly taken care of at the home. 10/10 - would recommend!

Stayed for a long weekend with my wife and two dogs. Cottage was comfortable and clean with an amazing view of the lake with a nice patio and access to the dock which we enjoyed. Also great location just a bit over an hour from the city but within a 15 minute drive to many great hikes and close to many great food options. Tony was also very responsive and helpful with recommendarions. Highly recommend.

The cottage was inviting and enabled family time around the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped with everything in good working condition. The master bedroom was warm and comfortable. The bathroom suitable. The walk down to the lake, as described in the listing, was a favorite. Watching the sunset over the water was memorable and gave a nice photo op.

Kevin’s place was the perfect location for our little family getaway. He met us at check in and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and nearby hiking. The lake was clean and beautiful. We had so much fun on the docks and boats. The yard was beautifully lit at night for nighttime outdoor gathering. We loved that it was pet-friendly so our little foster dog could tag along. Thank you for everything, Kevin! Would love to stay in the summer!
