Bear Hug Retreat

Bear Hug Retreat, our cozy 3 BR home set in the picturesque Colorado mountains in Forest Lakes north of Bayfield & east of Durango. George the Bear & his little buddy Sam will greet you on the large wrap-around porch with plenty of places to sit & enjoy the mountain air & beautiful views. Plenty of space for a group of friends/family to come together to play games or cook meals in our well-appointed kitchen. Close to many attractions like fishing, hiking, skiing, etc. It's the perfect getaway!

Perfect location: 2 Master Suites! 10 minutes from airport and Historic Downtown Durango-40 minutes from Durango Mountain resort (great location to also ski Wolf Creek and Telluride)-30 minutes to Mesa Verde. Situated on 3.5 acres overlooking the LaPlata Mountains. Close to rafting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, Hot Springs and MUCH more! Extra bonus room with 2 bunk beds. Two Living areas with decks off of the dining room and Upper Master Suite. So much to see so little time!

Charming South Durango Home

This space has everything you need for a memorable Durango vacation. We are just a five minute walk from the Animas River Trail, Durango Joe’s Coffee, and Sunnyside Farms Market. If you prefer something familiar, Dunkin Donuts and Freddy’s are close by, too! The home is 7 miles from the airport, nestled just off Hwy 160 and Hwy 550 on the south end of town. Great location with free parking and beautiful views. Downtown is a quick 10 minute drive. Please note, it is the top floor of a duplex.

The Bayfield Mail Stop

Located in Bayfield, CO providing easy access to all points of interest in the Four Corners area. This house was originally both the general store and post office in 1890 for 10 years. An addition occurred in the 1950's. It has been lovingly owned by the same family for many years. Antique yet modern with conveniences such as Starlink, USB charging stations, and a dedicated work area. Visit historic Mill Street or take a short walk to the Los Pinos River and local parks.

Mountain Escape

Great forest escape in the mountains. Our house offers space to come together as a family, slow down and enjoy nature. The fresh, cool mountain air is refreshing and inviting. Like most mountain homes, our house does not have AC as the breeze keeps the house cooler. During those unseasonably warm times, the box fans in the windows keep the air flowing and trips to the lake or river are just perfect! We have upgraded our internet and are averaging speeds over 100 MBPS.

Secluded Forest Retreat Close to Everything

Ideally located halfway between Durango and Purgatory ski resort, this secluded house is the perfect launching point for your Southwest Colorado adventures. If you are a train buff, you will love the fact that you can see the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge railroad pass right behind the house (it isn’t loud and only runs during the day). This 3000 square foot private home features three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and plenty of space for your family to relax and enjoy.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy beautiful views of the La Plata mountains from three different outdoor decks. Play outside in the large, fenced-in yard with your children and furry friends. Inside the house, guests can enjoy two separate living rooms. Cook inside in the Chef's kitchen, or grill outside on the beautiful patio. Located on Florida Mesa, ten minutes from the Durango Airport and five minutes from downtown Durango.

Amy’s Place

Welcome to our beautiful southwestern home with a view of open space and forest. You will be staying on the ground floor of a unique 2 unit home. A long term tenant lives upstairs in a separate apartment with a separate private entrance. Amy and Daniel are available remotely if you need anything during your stay. We are two miles from town, 5 from downtown and 29 miles from Purgatory. It’s the perfect southwest adventure hub!
