Cosy by the Sea

We offer you a private, warm, small quiet space neatly contained on the ground floor of our family home. Our quiet street sits right above the ocean where you can hear the lapping waves of the Tasman sea from your private courtyard, and have unlimited views out to the horizon. You'll want a camera for the sunsets. The entrance to the room is separate from the entrance to our house, so one has complete privacy. We offer modern bicycles for guest use at the cost of $20 per day, per bike.

Oakura Studio

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The studio is separate, fully fenced, lovely and private. It includes a relaxing little Zen garden area. The TV has all of the subscriptions. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, coffee pods, kettle & fridge. The stunning Oakura surf beach and Black Sand Pizzeria is just a 15 minute walk away, the cute little Oakura village, cafes and restaurants, a 12 minute walk away, and the Kaitake Ranges a 15 minute walk.

Situated in a lush garden, back-dropped by nature, hiking trails and birdsong, we are a short 5 to 10 minute drive to Restaurants, The Marine Reserve, Town Centre, Coastal walkway, Surfing beaches and Pukekura Park ( Womad + Concerts). With parking on the property and a private entrance our guest suite is modern, cosy, relaxing and quiet with thoughtful touches throughout. Luxury details include lovely linens, Netflix a spacious bathroom with infinity hot water and amazing water pressure.

Situated just 5 minutes away from the CBD of New Plymouth, you'll enjoy easy access to the coastal walkway, Pukekura Park and the iconic Te Rewa Rewa Bridge. The 2 bedroom BnB features separate access, a full kitchen, continental breakfast, front lawn and deck, private spa, comfy lounge (with Netflix) and off street parking for one vehicle. Hangout by the firepit area, relax in the private sauna, unwind in the spa bath or refresh under the outdoor shower. With a covered outdoor patio area, enjoy sunset dinners with a view of Mount Taranaki. Located on the back section of our property, this private tiny home is only a 5min drive to scenic beaches, coastal walkway and restaurants and cafes of central New Plymouth.

Kaitake Kabana - Unique Studio Retreat

Escape to the tranquility of Kaitake Kabana, an off-grid studio retreat space, nestled in the foothills of the Kaitake Ranges. This space is ideal for two, perfect for couples looking for a getaway (but can sleep up to 4 people with an extra mattress on the floor). The bathroom space and kitchenette are detached from the main living space. There is no wifi here and limited reception, come to embrace the serenity and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.

Parkside Studio

Warm, spacious, private self contained studio flat at rear of host's section. 15min walk to city center, 2min walk to Pukekura park and Bowl of Brooklands. Queen bed, separate shower and toilet, basic kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave, bench top oven and hotplate). On street parking. Owners are long time surfers,motorcyclist,and life long residents so can advise on many activities.
