The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Chocolate Box Stay.

The Chocolate Box Stay sits on an elevated section with a bushy background. It is a full home away from home suitable for single or family groups, a wonderful relaxing place to stay. There are two bedrooms , one with a queen bed, the second with a queen and a single bed. Also a sofa bed in a sunroom , which has heavy curtains , for privacy from the lounge It is located close to the scenic coastal walkway, Ngamotu beach & playground, Mt Paritutu, and Back Beach for walking and maybe a surf.

Kaitake Kabana - Unique Studio Retreat

Escape to the tranquility of Kaitake Kabana, an off-grid studio retreat nestled in the foothills of the Kaitake Ranges. This space is ideal for two, perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway (but can sleep up to 4 people with an extra mattress on the floor if required). The bathroom space and kitchenette are detached from the main living space. There is no wifi here and limited reception, come to embrace the serenity and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.
